We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.
  • Flavor and Ingredient Quality: I meticulously evaluated the freshness of the tea bases and the authenticity of the flavorings. Shops utilizing real fruit purees and high-grade loose-leaf teas received significantly higher ratings.
  •
  • Menu Variety and Dietary Options: A superb boba shop should cater to a diverse crowd. I looked for extensive customization options, particularly a variety of dairy-free milk alternatives.
  •
  • Atmosphere and Accessibility: The physical environment plays a huge role in the overall beverage enjoyment. I favored cafes that offer comfortable seating, easy urban access, and a welcoming vibe for students and young professionals.
  •
  • Value for the Cost: I weighed the portion sizes and premium ingredients against the final price tag. Establishments that provide generous servings without exorbitant upcharges for basic toppings ranked better on my list.

Website: http://www.sweetdots.com/

Address: 2217 Elliston Pl

Contact: (615) 649-8484; [email protected]

Schedule:

  • Sunday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • Friday – Saturday: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM

If you’re looking for vibrant and fruity flavors without the caffeine jitters, Sweet Dots is a fantastic choice. Their specialized Blossom series uses real fruit purees, which makes it a great alternative to traditional tea.

This modern cafe also uses a lactose-free creamer on its main menu, so its famous brown sugar lattes are safe for people with dairy sensitivities.

You can easily customize your sweetness level to fit your taste while enjoying the cool Midtown atmosphere.

Just keep in mind that classic boba pearls do not come with the milk teas by default. You have to add them as an extra topping.

This can sometimes be a bit confusing for new customers who expect toppings to be included, so make sure to check your order before you pay.

Pros

  • Uses real fruit purees instead of flavored syrups
  • Extensive milk alternatives for specialty lattes
  • Highly detailed sweetness and topping customization
  • Hip, local atmosphere perfect for urban professionals

Cons

  • Mandatory add-on fee for tapioca pearls
  • Restricted sizing options for signature specials

Customer Reviews:

Amazing service and great drinks!
I was visiting Nashville on Saturday and saw this place and thought I would try it out. When I came in, the line was out the door and it was extremely busy (a good sign). However there was only one girl working there and working very hard. Sophia made 20 drinks in 10 minutes and I was very impressed. Amazing service and great drinks! Please give her a raise!!

Exceeded my expectations!
As someone who’s incredibly picky about boba, I have to say this boba tea shop exceeded my expectations! The flavors were fresh and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, just the way I like it. The tapioca pearls were soft and chewy, with just the right texture (a rare find!). Place is cute too

2. Eat Bubbles

eat-bubbles

Website: http://www.eatbubbles.com/

Address: 3820 Charlotte Ave

Contact: (615) 270-5990

Schedule: Tuesday – Sunday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Eat Bubbles stands out by ditching artificial ingredients in favor of high-quality, loose-leaf teas from gardens in Japan, Taiwan, and India. They take things a step further by handcrafting their own simple syrups with organic brown sugar.

When I stopped by recently, I paired a rich ceremonial-grade matcha with a warm ube mochi waffle, and the combination was incredible.

On top of the great food, the shop is very eco-friendly, using bamboo straws and participating in local composting programs.

However, you should plan your visit carefully because they have a fairly early schedule. They close at 7:00 PM on many evenings, so it might be hard to satisfy a late-night craving.

It is a wonderful local spot, just make sure you get there before the sun goes down.

Pros

  • Wide range of dietary milk alternatives
  • Creative and unique signature flavor profiles
  • Serves freshly made, gluten-free mochi waffles
  • Eco-friendly operations with sustainable packaging

Cons

  • Closes early on certain weeknights
  • Online platform is restricted to pickup only

Customer Reviews:

I’m obsessed with the ube taro boba
I’m obsessed with the ube taro boba. It was so creamy and had just the right amount of sweetness. I had it for the first time two days ago and I’m already looking forward to having it again, along with trying out other drinks!

They were fantastic
I was in the store today, and I got two drinks – thai tea and mango jasmine. They were fantastic. Just wanted to say that the quality of your tea and ingredients made my day (my birthday!). Thanks for being you!

3. BubbleRing Cafe

bubblering-cafe

Website: https://www.bubbleringcafe.com/

Address: 3929 Nolensville Pk

Contact: (615) 975-3944; [email protected]

Schedule: Monday – Sunday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM

BubbleRing Cafe does a fantastic job of fusing cultures by merging traditional boba with bold Mexican coffee influences. You can find excellent horchata lattes and cinnamon-infused brews that taste wonderful.

Beyond the drinks, this spot operates as a social hub designed for trading card fans and lively kids’ events. It’s a very high-energy environment, and they even have an interactive ticket blaster to make your visit more fun.

However, because they focus so much on big parties, the atmosphere can get quite loud and chaotic. If you’re looking for a quiet corner to relax with a book, this might not be the place for you.

Plus, keep in mind that their snacks are mostly prepackaged chips rather than fresh pastries, so plan your cravings accordingly.

Pros

  • Culturally diverse and highly unique drink menu
  • Offers all-inclusive party and event hosting
  • Extensive ordering customization for sugar levels
  • Serves savory snacks like samosas alongside drinks

Cons

  • The atmosphere can be too loud
  • Heavy reliance on prepackaged chips

Customer Reviews:

Best boba tea I have tasted
Best boba tea I have tasted outside of California! Honestly, better than most of the places I went in California! The black pearl tapioca is soft all the way through and just a hint of sweet, not overpowering. The milk tea is perfect and the slushies are phenomenal! Next visit, I’m going to try the fruit tea and the coffee!

My tea was delicious
Great place! They really have a wide variety of flavors, teas, and additions. The person who took my order was extremely helpful and pleasant, as was everyone else there. My tea was delicious. We stayed and played board games they had while drinking our tea.

Address: 700 Church St STE 101

Contact: (615) 864-7514

Schedule:

  • Monday – Thursday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday – Sunday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Muni Muni Tea Shop is a great find if you love beautiful drinks with a rich cheesecake swirl. They do a wonderful job of bringing traditional Filipino flavors like ube and buko pandan to the local community.

By using real fruit and artisanal toppings like sweet leche flan, they create a truly unique dessert-like experience.

I recently grabbed one of their vivid fruit milks after eating some local tapas, and it was the perfect caffeine-free treat.

The customization options are impressive too. The premium toppings, though, can be quite expensive. These extra charges add up quickly, making a single drink cost more than you might expect.

Plus, most specialty drinks only come in one size, which might be a bit much if you just want a small snack.

Pros

  • Culturally distinctive Filipino flavor profiles
  • Dedicated caffeine-free fruit milk options
  • Highly tailored sweetness and ice customization
  • Premium artisanal sinkers like egg pudding

Cons

  • Expensive premium toppings
  • Single size for specialty drinks

Customer Reviews:

The quality of their drinks is unbeatable
Hands down the best boba spot in all of TN, and it’s just steps away from Broadway! The staff is unbelievably nice, friendly, and accommodating every single time. They even serve amazing hot drinks like hot cocoa and roasted oolong. The price and quality of their drinks are unbeatable. You seriously can’t go wrong here!

5. CRAFTY BOBA

crafty-boba

Website: http://www.craftyboba.com/

Address: 265 White Bridge Pike #101

Contact: (615)-649-8717; [email protected]

Schedule: Monday – Sunday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

CRAFTY BOBA leans into its artisanal branding by using freshly cut fruit and high-quality tea leaves instead of instant syrups.

The menu also goes beyond drinks. Warm croffles and traditional Hong Kong egg waffles are part of the lineup, and they pair especially well with their salted cream teas.

It works well as both a light lunch stop and a dessert spot, depending on what you are in the mood for.

This is also a great place to reset your palate after a heavy meal like fried chicken, since the drinks and desserts feel refreshing without being too heavy.

There is a trade-off, though. Everything is made to order, including the waffles, so wait times can stretch when it gets busy.

The slower pace is part of the made-to-order approach, but it is something to keep in mind during peak hours.

Pros

  • Uses freshly brewed tea leaves for cleaner flavor
  • Offers a complete cafe menu of sweet and savory waffles
  • Highly customizable recipes for precise taste preferences
  • Conveniently accessible location near major university hubs

Cons

  • Fresh fruit chunks and cream foams require premium upcharges
  • Freshly crafted food items cause longer wait times

Customer Reviews:

This bubble tea place is the best
Personally, this bubble tea place is the best I have had in this area of town. They have many options for people allergic to dairy (as I am), and it’s so easy for me to try the flavors I can’t at other tea places because of all the milk options they have. The costumer service is also really welcoming and friendly every time I go. Definitely recommend !!!

The quality of the product is amazing
Great bubble tea. I’ve been there twice. Ordered wintermelon, Earl Gray, matcha, classic Royal, and taro. My personal favorite: Earl Gray. Didn’t like: classic royal. I couldn’t feel the flavor. Service is quick. It is a small place but the quality of the product is amazing. Definitely will go again.
