Goodbye drafts! We found the 5 best front door installers in Nashville

front-door-installers-in-nashville
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Local Expertise: We looked for companies with solid experience handling Middle Tennessee's specific climate and building styles. Crews that know the area well usually offer options that last longer and fit the neighborhood's look.

Service Versatility: We checked if a business manages the whole process, like building custom frames right through to the final fitting. Having one point of contact often makes things less stressful and helps keep the work quality steady.

Material Quality: We looked at the different materials available, checking for options like solid wood alongside energy-efficient composites. Having plenty of choices helps you find a good mix of security, style, and affordability.

Customer Policies: We checked out warranties, repair habits, and whether they use their own crews or hire outside help. Businesses that back up their work and try to fix things before suggesting a full replacement naturally stood out to us.

Your front door sets the tone for your home, but it also works hard to keep you comfortable when Tennessee’s weather acts up. A drafty, poorly fitted entryway just lets the heat inside, quickly driving up your summer energy bills.

Upgrading your door is a smart move that locks in the air conditioning, ramps up your home’s security, and gives the whole house a fresh look. But sorting through all the local suppliers and contractors to find the right fit can easily get overwhelming.

So, I looked into the best front door installers in Nashville to help you figure out your next steps. This guide highlights solid local teams, making your next home upgrade a whole lot easier.

How much does a front door installation cost in Nashville?

Installing a front door in Nashville typically costs between $450 and $1,300 or more, with the final price depending heavily on the materials and custom features you select.

Service TypeAverage Cost Range
Basic Replacement$450+
Standard Installation (Labor & Materials)$700 – $900
Custom/High-End Installation$1,300+

1. Classic Doors, Inc.

classic-doors-inc

Website: https://classicdoorsinc.com/

Address: 319 Hermitage Avenue

Contact: (615) 256-7278 | [email protected]

Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Classic Doors, Inc. handles the whole project in-house. No shuffling between contractors takes place as their team custom-builds the frame, finishes the wood, and handles the final installation.

With over 40 years of local experience under their belts, they easily tackle tricky architectural challenges like custom sidelights or solid mahogany builds.

A friend of mine used them for a historic renovation recently, and she loved being able to physically inspect the hardware and glass patterns before making any choices.

But since they focus so heavily on premium custom work and full-service labor, total project costs will definitely be higher than buying an off-the-shelf door. Good custom work naturally takes a bit longer, so you’ll also need to plan for longer lead times.

Pros

  • Large local physical showroom to inspect items
  • Handles the whole project completely in-house
  • Over 40 years of local installation expertise
  • Easily tackles tricky architectural challenges

Cons

  • Higher total project costs for custom builds
  • Longer lead times than standard stock inventory

I am beyond satisfied with everything!!!!
100 stars if I could!!!! I’m not sure of what my expectations were but my door is absolutely stunning! I was a little nervous picking out the style over email (Julie was amazing) and even choosing the wood color from a small sample but everything worked together and I am beyond satisfied. Address: 1701 Nolensville Pike

Contact: (615) 255-3667 | [email protected]

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Home maintenance doesn’t always mean you have to start completely over. Mid State Door & Window focuses on saving you money by repairing your existing entryway whenever possible.

Since 1981, they’ve specialized in fixing doors using their own direct employees instead of hiring outside subcontractors. Their owner stays hands-on with daily operations and shop work, making sure every project meets their standards.

We love that they offer a deep variety of materials, which makes it easy to match any functional upgrade with your home’s original look.

And, even a seasoned kitchen remodel contractor would appreciate their formal written workmanship warranty that covers both products and labor.

Just expect that showroom visits are a bit tough if you work standard Monday through Friday hours, as they’re closed on weekends. Tracking down replacement parts for obsolete brands can sometimes be an unavoidable challenge for older homes, too.

Pros

  • Direct in-house employee installers
  • Specialization in entryway repairs
  • Broad material selection available
  • Over four decades of localized experience

Cons

  • Closed on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Potential parts availability issues for older brands

I would hire them again in a heart beat!
My home means everything to me. They came out and could see what I wanted. Between an old oddly made patio door to an incorrectly installed French door..they were able to install new doors that make me so incredibly happy. I would hire them again in a heart beat! Huge kudos to their install team as well!

Will recommend this company to friends and neighbors
I needed repair for the window screens  and glass for security storm  doors. The handyman who did my house renovation highly recommended the

Mid State Door & Window, Inc for its quality works and great staff.  My interaction with the staff, Mr. Ethan, about the screen repair and turn around time to get it ready, was impressive.

I was very impressed with Mr. Ethan’s   excellent customer service. He was  patient and professional in handling my orders for the screen repair needs.  I will recommend this company to friends and neighbors.  E. Kunnu

Schedule: Daily 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM

This family-owned team focuses on replacing older units in historic neighborhoods without tearing up your home’s structure.

The Door Guys actively source local lumber and focus heavily on the precise alignment required for high-security setups.

They work daily from early morning until late evening, giving you incredible flexibility for consultations or sudden emergency fixes. When my neighbor needed a rapid security fix after a break-in, these guys showed up and finished the job in a single afternoon.

Since they operate entirely as a mobile service, they skip the physical showroom and traditional online catalogs altogether to consult directly at your house.

Although not having a storefront means you can’t physically test the weight of the wood or feel the handle sets before you buy, their on-site efficiency easily makes up for it.

Pros

  • Replaces units without tearing up home structures
  • High availability seven days a week
  • Incredibly fast for sudden emergency fixes
  • Highly efficient mobile on-site service

Cons

  • No physical showroom or online catalogs available
  • Cannot physically test items before making a purchase

These guys are gentleman as well as door professionals and craftsmen!!! Again, I highly recommend!!!

The Door Guys have proven their worth to me!
Jamie and The Door Guys replaced the cheap hollow doors my 1910 Victorian home had and restored the authenticity with solid wooden doors and collaborated with me on the stain to truly knock it out of the park! They spent the time and effort to get it right, with several visits and samples and email correspondence one would hope a company would extend to their home! I will be replacing exterior doors soon and no other company will get a shot at this project- The Door Guys have proven their worth to me!

Fantastic and quick service!

Fantastic and quick service! We had an incident overnight with an attempted robbery breaking our glass door. Leslee was very helpful in getting our door model and having one of their techs (Don) come out same day for such a great price to repair it. Don was professional and had it done in minutes. We would recommend this company to anyone needed quick affordable repairs on glass doors.

I’ll definitely keep recommending them!
I’ve used Door Tech of Nashville, Inc. in the past and decided to call them again after a business door glass broke — and I’m so glad I did! Lesley was very considerate and quick to respond. Their team came out on time, worked fast, and handled everything professionally and cleanly.

They’re honestly the only company that was willing to help when others wouldn’t, and their pricing is fair too. No headaches, no delays — just great service. I’ll definitely keep recommending them!

5. Nashville Door Closer

nashville-door-closer

Website: https://nashvilledoorcloser.com/

Address: 2301 Cruzen Street

Contact: (615) 985-6277 | [email protected]

Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Nashville Door Closer brings 50 years of specialized heritage to hydraulic closers and pneumatic operators.

This effectively limits the residential housing market from accessing their services, as their entire operation is built around heavy commercial hydraulics and industrial-grade security.

We like that they have proactive inventory tracking and preventive maintenance plans, which help minimize downtime for busy local healthcare and education sectors.

They also work directly with manufacturers, sourcing commercial hardware nationwide to secure competitive pricing and fast shipping.

This proactive approach stops massive mechanical failures before they even happen, giving facility managers some serious peace of mind.

With their service window limited strictly to standard weekday hours, businesses are left without advertised weekend emergency support if a severe security malfunction happens outside of normal operating times.

Pros

  • 50 years of specialized heritage in hydraulic closers
  • Proactive inventory and preventive maintenance plans
  • Manufacturer-direct hardware sourcing for fast shipping
  • Prevents massive mechanical failures before they happen

Cons

  • Zero residential services available
  • Limited strictly to standard weekday operating hours

Very helpful!

Outstanding service.  I received the same service for a $15 spare part as I would have expected for a $1,500 door assembly.  Nashville Door Closer Services gave me a parts sample bag at no charge which allowed me to select the right seal and then purchase from them.  Very helpful!

They’re the best
You cannot find a more kind, hard working guy than Ben. I’ve known him for a while now and he’s one of the most genuine guy I know. He passes all of his great qualities to each employee at Nashville Door Closer Services.

Let them prove to you they’re the best and I know you’ll be glad you did!
