The Best Vegetarian Restaurants in Nashville For Healthy, Tasty Dishes

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Flavor and Creativity: I looked for menus that push boundaries with vibrant, sensory-rich ingredients rather than relying on bland meat substitutes.

The dishes had to deliver a mouth-watering punch that satisfies both dedicated herbivores and skeptical omnivores.

Menu Inclusivity: Finding a place that easily handles allergies and specific dietary needs is crucial for stress-free dining. I prioritized kitchens that clearly label their offerings and provide safe gluten-free or soy-free alternatives.

Atmosphere and Vibe: A memorable meal requires a welcoming environment that encourages you to sit back and savor every bite. The spaces I selected range from cozy, family-operated hubs to brightly lit, modern dining rooms.

Value for Money: Paying a premium for tiny portions of lettuce simply doesn’t cut it. I sought out eateries that provide hearty, satisfying plates that justify the price tag and leave you delightfully full.

Hunting down the best vegetarian restaurant in Nashville used to feel like searching for a needle in a haystack of barbecue joints. Today, Music City is brimming with vibrant, plant-based eateries that cater to strict vegans and curious food explorers alike.

You don’t have to sacrifice deep, sensory-rich flavors just because you’re skipping the meat. From hearty southern soul food to refined raw delicacies, the local culinary scene serves up colorful plates that will make your taste buds dance.

I’ve eaten my way through the city to find phenomenal plant-based spots that deliver unforgettable dining experiences without a single animal product in sight.

How much does dining at a vegetarian restaurant cost in Nashville?

Grabbing a quick lunch buffet will run you about $15.99, while treating yourself to a mid-range three-course dinner for two typically lands between $60 and $140, making plant-based dining here deliciously accessible.

Dining StyleAverage Price
Budget-Friendly / Buffets~$15.99 per person
Inexpensive / Moderate Meals$15.00 – $25.00 per person
Mid-Range Dining (Two People)$60.00 – $140.00

So many other options to choose from.

We were looking for a plant-forward Sunday brunch option in Nashville and found Graze in East Nashville. Friendly team welcomed us as we entered and took our order quickly. Many options to choose from and went with the breakfast burrito and vegan omelette. Food came fast, both were excellent as well as their coffee. So many other options to choose from and we look forward to coming back to try them out!

Even if you’re not a vegan, you should try it.

This is an awesome vegan restaurant. Even if you’re not a vegan you should try it, especially the vegan BBQ Quesadilla! We also had Potato Soup, Roasted Veggie Burrito bowl, Grilled Cheese with roasted potatoes, and the Patty Melt! For dessert we had a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a lemon lavender cookie!

Vegelicious is a cozy eatery that specializes in 100% vegan, soul-food-inspired comfort cuisine. They transform classic staples like gooey mac and cheese and crispy fried chick’n into hearty, plant-based masterpieces.

When I first bit into their proprietary, house-made seitan BBQ sandwich, the smoky, rich flavors instantly convinced me I had found my new favorite lunch spot.

Their massive, flavor-packed portions ensure you get substantial value, easily rivaling the menus of other popular restaurants across the city.

You can even customize your burgers with allergen-friendly bread substitutions if you have specific dietary needs.

The only major drawback is their limited operating schedule. They remain closed on Sundays and Mondays, forcing you to look elsewhere for your weekend brunch fix.

Pros

  • Authentic homestyle southern flavors
  • Unique house-made plant proteins
  • Large and satisfying portion sizes
  • Gluten-free bread substitutions available

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays and Mondays

Probably some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had.

Traveled into Nashville and looked into the best place for vegetarian hot chicken.  Found this place and it was awesome.  Everything was delicious especially the vegan chicken. Probably some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had. We got there a bit close to closing time, but the woman working was so friendly and accommodating. Cute atmosphere inside and out, too!

Some of the best I’ve had.

Best vegan food in Nashville. All of it is so good. Had the Philly cheese steak with fries, greens, and mac. So good made me wanna smack my mama. Wife had the hot chick plate with yams and the yams were some of the best I’ve had.

They operate with exceptional dietary transparency and a massive vegan menu that prioritizes soy-free and gluten-free options. Nearly every single wrap or burger can be customized with house-made brown rice buns for complete peace of mind.

Busy professionals will especially appreciate their convenient weekly heat-and-eat meal prep service, which features exciting rotating chef specials.

The main downside is that the cafe operates Monday through Saturday, meaning you can’t satisfy your cravings here on a lazy Sunday.

  • Convenient meal prep and catering service
  • Extensive customizable gluten-free options
  • Broad culinary variety and global flavors

Cons

Top-notch vegan dining experience!

I recently dined here, and it was an absolute delight! The food was simply incredible—bursting with flavor, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every dish I tried was a testament to how delicious vegan cuisine can be. The service was impressively quick, and the staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. This is hands down the best food I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait to come back again and again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch vegan dining experience!

Highly recommended for a Vegan Meal.

A quaint Vegan Restaurant in Nashville. We had Quesadilla with Vegan Cheese, Crab Cake Veggie Burger and a South West Salad. We went in early at around 11.45 am and could find a table. By the time we had finished our lunch, the place was packed.  It seemed to be a very popular place. Highly recommended for a Vegan Meal.

4. AVO

Seeking a more sophisticated atmosphere for your next dinner date? AVO offers an elevated approach to plant-based dining. They beautifully balance specialized raw, unheated dishes with comforting cooked meals and inventive craft cocktails.

Knowing the kitchen prioritizes the finest organic ingredients, diners can indulge in unique, unrefined creations like a luscious Chocolate Avocado Tart.

Every plate feels thoughtfully composed, often highlighted by scratch-made condiments such as bright beet ketchup and creamy coconut queso.

The menu also utilizes highly inclusive labeling, taking the guesswork out of ordering for guests with strict raw or dietary requirements.

Cons

Customer Reviews:

I definitely recommend this place.

The place is beautifully decorated. Our server was welcoming with a beautiful smile. The burger was delish but the nachos was the best 🤤 along with the avocado chocolate mousse dessert. No pics of burger or dessert as we ate it as fast as it was served…. but I definitely recommend this place. Went with someone who isn’t vegan and he was pleasantly surprised.

Would love to come back and try more items!

Me and my wife are not vegan or vegetarian so this was all new for us and we loved everything we got. The Dan Dan noodles was our favorite. They also had a non alcoholic prosecco! Would love to come back and try more items!

5. The BE Hive Deli & Market

the-be-hive-deli-market

Website: http://www.thebehive.com/

Address: 2414 Gallatin Ave

Contact: (615) 733-9609

Hours: Monday – Sunday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Sometimes a simple, impeccably crafted sandwich is exactly what the soul needs.

Having grown from an underground vegan potluck movement, this renowned deli produces an incredible line of small-batch, plant-based meats and cheeses using clean, non-GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) ingredients.

I recently ordered their legendary seitan pastrami on rye, and the peppery, savory bite completely blew away my expectations of what meatless deli slices could taste like.

Their house-made proteins are so phenomenally popular that they’re now sold in national retailers and utilized by various other local kitchens.

They even offer nationwide shipping and extensive catering services for large, hungry crowds.

Just be aware that ordering their fresh, preservative-free goods from out of state, particularly to the West Coast, incurs significantly expensive shipping costs.

Pros

  • Nationally recognized house-made meats
  • Clean ingredients with transparent sourcing
  • Readily available nationwide shipping
  • Versatile wholesale and catering options

Cons

  • Expensive out-of-state shipping

Customer Reviews:

Love the selection and totally hit the spot when you’re in that mood.

Definitely one of the best vegan places I’ve been to! Friends from out of town agreed and were so jealous of our regional vegan offerings. I’ve never eaten meat so I have tried many places and this is a fave! Love the selection and totally hits the spot when you’re in that mood.

A wonderful staple of Nashville’s vegan community.

Tried this for the first time earlier this year and had to come back for me. HIGHLY recommend the Classic. This place is too cute and they have a well-curated vegan deli. A wonderful staple of Nashville’s vegan community.
