Nashville has no shortage of incredible restaurants, especially those serving Middle Eastern food. Warm pita lovers and fans of tender, well-seasoned lamb will find plenty to enjoy across the city.
When it comes to shawarma, the difference between average and great really comes down to flavor, freshness, and how well the meat is prepared. The best spots avoid dry, bland servings and focus on bold, satisfying combinations.
To make the search easier, our team tried several places to identify the best shawarma restaurants in Denver. These standout restaurants are known for their flavorful plates, generous portions, and sandwiches worth coming back for.

Hours:
- Tuesday – Friday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Stepping into this Yemeni hub feels like walking right into a busy family kitchen. Jerusalem Reebar Restaurant serves authentic traditional dishes like slow-cooked Lamb Zurbian alongside classic Mediterranean favorites.
Their signature house preparation gives their sandwiches a distinct kick that you simply cannot find elsewhere in the city.
We actually tried their lamb shawarma last week, and the marinade was absolutely incredible. You have plenty of choices if you want chicken or beef piled high on plates or tucked into wraps.
You can also grab a hearty falafel plate if you want a meatless meal.
The popular Lamb Zurbian is only served on Fridays and Saturdays, though, so planning your visit around those days makes a big difference.
Still, their daily specials give you plenty of fresh reasons to return to this wonderful spot.

Our server was super sweet and helpful
I got the mixed shawarma wrap and fries with garlic sauce along with a mint lemonade slushie. That drink was one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tasted and the food was really good as well! Our server was super sweet and helpful. Would definitely recommend for some authentic Middle Eastern cuisine!

2. Edessa Restaurant Kurdish Turkish Cuisine

Website: http://www.edessarestauranttn.net/
Address: 3802 Nolensville Pk
Contact: (615)-837-2567; [email protected]
Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 11:00 AM – 8:30 PM
- Friday – Sunday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Edessa Restaurant Kurdish Turkish Cuisine has built a strong reputation over the past twenty years as a reliable spot for rich Kurdish and Turkish dishes.
The kitchen slow-cooks its signature clay pot kabobs for hours, which helps lock in deep flavor and tender texture.
Plus, you get to watch them serve fresh balloon bread, which adds a fun visual element to your dinner.
The menu also includes thinly sliced doner plates, making this place a strong contender for one of the best shawarma-style dining experiences in Nashville.
Large groups can feast on massive platters loaded with salads and mixed grilled meats. You will also find plenty of vegan choices, like their traditional meatless patties.
However, getting a reservation is quite frustrating for small groups. Their system is geared toward large parties, so you will likely have to call them directly and hope for an open table.
Customer Reviews:
The food is excellent
Wow, what a find. This Kurdish restaurant in Nashville is a treat. The food is excellent with nice, subtle flavors, and service is attentive without being overbearing. We ordered Falafel, Cornish Chicken, Shawarma, and Chicken chops, Kunafe, Rice Pudding, and Baklava. Barring Baklava, everything was delicious. The Lavash was very nice as well. We will be visiting this place again. Love the subtle flavors.

3. Middle Eatz

Website: http://www.middleeatz.com/
Address: 412 Harding Pl #104
Contact: (615) 487-4315
Hours:
- Monday, Wednesday – Thursday & Saturday – Sunday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Friday: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Middle Eatz delivers a fresh West Coast twist on traditional Yemeni recipes, resulting in a menu that feels both modern and comforting. If you want a break from your usual dining routine, you will love these hearty wraps.
For starters, they roast their meats slowly over real charcoal to capture a deep flavor profile. Their cheesy cilantro sauce also adds a bright punch to every single bite.
You can order your chicken shawarma loaded onto fries or tightly rolled in a fresh wrap.
Plus, they mark all their menu items clearly so diners with strict dietary needs can order safe meals.
While they handle massive catering orders for events, you might feel a bit disappointed by the wrap meat choices. They only serve chicken shawarma right now since they reserve their beef and lamb entirely for kabobs.

Food is FRESHLY MADE
New restaurant MIDDLE EATZ is a must TRY by tomorrow! Food is FRESHLY MADE. The owners were very attentive. Customer service was GREAT! The restaurants ambience was perfect & you can tell they took their time picking all decor to the lights! It’s provided a traditional middle eastern sitting area and regular tables & chairs for your comfort.
Its a must try and will be back in the future. Chicken shawarma was amazing (haven’t had one this good in Nashville). The mango drink was really good as well.

4. Aba Nashville

Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Friday – Saturday: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM

- Saturday – Sunday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Brunch)
This North Gulch restaurant creates a relaxed escape with its lush greenery and open-air feel, making it seem like a quick getaway from the city.
The chef draws direct inspiration from Israeli cuisine, which results in a lighter, fresher approach to Mediterranean cooking.
You can even pair your meal with rare regional wines sourced straight from the Middle East.
I actually brought my family here last month, and the kids really loved their simplified chicken plates. For the adults, you can get a fantastic lamb and beef shawarma that easily satisfies any serious cravings.
They also serve a wild crispy short rib hummus that completely redefines the classic dip.
Just keep in mind that this spot does restrict your sandwich options quite a bit. They only offer that single lamb and beef shawarma on the menu.
Unfortunately, anyone craving a turkey or chicken version will need to look elsewhere.

Food + Atmosphere exceptional
There are restaurants that are fun. There are restaurants that the food is amazing. Now – the tricky part ! ABA is probably the most exciting, vibrant, friendly, restaurant that I have ever been in across the world ! The staff were knowledgeable, attentive and personable. Food = W O W ! I had 4 appetizers and the `Shawarma steak and 2 desserts. The vibe was inviting with everyone having a great time. Sincerely easily might be the best restaurant in Nashville. Their theme song should be Sammy Hagar’s ” Best Of Both Worlds ” ! Food + Atmosphere exceptional.

5. Fattoush Cafe

Website: https://www.fattoush-cafe.com/
Address: 1716 Charlotte Ave
Contact: (615) 321-1667
Hours: Monday – Saturday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Building a perfect sandwich at Fattoush Cafe starts with imported tahini and a highly guarded house spice blend. Guests can customize their meals by creating meat salads topped with fresh tabouli and creamy house-made garlic sauces.
The menu also includes fusion-style sandwiches that combine rotisserie meats with sautéed peppers for a slightly different take on traditional wraps.
Large rotisserie plates and filling combo options (especially those paired with spicy fries) make this a strong choice for anyone craving a hearty shawarma-style meal.
Plus, vegetarians can skip the meat and order hearty eggplant dishes marinated in bright citrus juices.
One thing to remember is that you must eat inside to get their daily lunch specials. They limit these deals to dine-in guests, so ordering to go means paying full price for every item.

It was so delicious!
Got the chicken shawarma platter and it was so delicious! Hummus was silky, and the rice and chicken were perfectly seasoned. Was the perfect dinner on a chilly night! The guy preparing the food and register was so sweet and genuine!
I’m just stopping though Nashville for a few nights but could tell just from the vibes that this spot is a neighborhood staple. Will definitely be back sometime!
