world-champion-productions

Website: https://www.worldchampionproductions.com/

Address: 143 New Shackle Island Road, Suite 12, Hendersonville

Contact: (615) 264-1156

Schedule:

  • Mon-Fri 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • Sat 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

True to its name, World Champion is led by a four-time world champion, David Elkin. This studio brings elite ballroom instruction directly to the Nashville suburbs.

That elite pedigree doesn’t mean beginners are left behind. Their studio pairs championship-level standards with an approachable philosophy that helps new dancers feel at ease.

Instructors here guide you through the choreography while actively emphasizing how movement improves your mental and physical health.

You build confidence on the floor and naturally connect with other dancers during their lively weekend social parties. Plus, high-quality, joint-saving hardwood floors protect your knees and keep your practice comfortable.

However, you should prepare for strong sales pitches after your initial sessions, as past students mention feeling steered toward expensive long-term packages. If you can navigate the upsell, you’ll appreciate the premium facilities.

Pros

  • Elite-level pedigree
  • Approachable for beginners
  • Premium, joint-saving hardwood floors
  • Lively weekend social parties

Cons

  • High-pressure sales tactics
  • Expensive long-term packages

Find out how life is better when you’re dancing
I’m a dancer, my wife? Not so much. For her birthday I signed us up for a private dance lesson at World Champion Productions. Not only did my wife love it, she left saying that she felt empowered. I’d recommend anyone try just one lesson & find out how life is better when you’re dancing

Give it a try!
Chris my instructor is the perfect balance of professional, fun, and informative. He knows his stuff and customizes his approach to each student by learning their style and preferences. All instructors are very approachable and friendly. Great environment overall. Good for people that just want to learn the basics or want to dance in competitions. Give it a try!

2. Miss Fit Academy

miss-fit-academy

Website: https://www.missfitacademy.com/

Address: 265 Hermitage Avenue

Contact: (615) 891-3910

Schedule:

  • Mon-Tues, Thurs 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Wed 1:30 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Fri 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Sat 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Miss Fit Academy hosts the largest variety of aerial and pole classes in the city, making it a popular group event destination. Since it’s so close to the downtown scene, it’s the perfect place to kick off a celebration.

Another draw is the studio’s energetic party vibe, which helps you let loose after a stressful week. I took a beginner pole class for a friend’s birthday, and the club-grade sound system kept the energy high.

Instructors here build a supportive environment for students stepping out of their comfort zones. That specialized focus does mean leaving standard dance routines behind, though.

When it comes to cost, they conveniently use a transparent pricing model with no hidden fees. It’s also great that there’s free private parking available just a mile from Broadway.

The schedule, however, lacks traditional styles like ballet or tap. Tourist groups frequently also book events here, so securing a prime weekend slot can also be difficult for local regulars.

Pros

  • Prime location with free parking
  • Largest variety of aerial and pole classes
  • Club-grade sound system
  • Transparent pricing without hidden fees

Cons

  • Lacks traditional dance styles
  • High booking competition

Loved every minute
10/10 experience. Odyssey was an incredible instructor—clear cues, great energy, and made the class fun while still teaching proper technique. Whether you’re new or experienced, you’ll feel supported and empowered. I loved every minute.

The leaders were so fun and encouraging!
My girls and I took the striptease class and line dancing class with Phoenix and Anna and had such a blast!! This was the perfect fun activity for my bachelorette and the leaders were so fun and encouraging! Would definitely go back.

3. Turn Their Heads

turn-their-heads

Website: https://turntheirheads.com/

Address: 830 Fesslers Parkway, Suite 114

Contact: (615) 676-1900 | [email protected]

Schedule:

  • Mon, Thurs, Sun 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Fri-Sat 9:00 AM – 12:00 AM

Turn Their Heads teaches country line dancing with a beginner-centric, fun-first approach. If you have two left feet, you’ll find a low-pressure environment here with plenty of laughs.

And if you’re into making TikToks, you’ll love that this facility features floor-to-ceiling mirrors and complimentary phone tripods to help you capture every move.

This studio’s relaxed, party-like vibe gets an extra boost from their bring-your-own-beverage (BYOB) policy, which helps you save money on expensive bar drinks.

Another plus is that you’ll learn practical steps that translate immediately to the dance floors downtown. Instructors even tailor routines to pop or hip-hop songs if you prefer a different rhythm.

However, if you’re an advanced dancer, you might find these routines a bit basic for your skill level.

Location-wise, it’s close to the city center, but you’ll still need a quick ride to reach the famous honky-tonks on Broadway.

Pros

  • Beginner-friendly curriculum
  • Cost-saving BYOB policy
  • Content-creation amenities
  • Flexible music choices

Cons

  • Not for advanced dancers
  • Short commute to Broadway

12/10 experience! Kristen was so fun and definitely knew what she was doing from the picture poses to the dancing! So excited to have a fun dance now for me and my girls to do at my wedding! Thank you!!

The best teacher to learn from!
Andrea curated the most welcoming, fun, hype environment! I was so comfortable to learn from her. She went through all the steps at our own pace and gave us multiple opportunities to video ourselves. The dance wasn’t cringey at all, which was so reassuring. It was so fun and so encouraging!! The best teacher to learn from! Come and see her!!!!!

To handle all that high-energy choreography, the studio itself is built to perform. Their facility includes high-quality sound systems and professional flooring designed for intensive movement.

Even with these industry ties, the space remains welcoming to those just starting their dance journey. They even make it incredibly easy for those beginners to actually get through the door.
