Craving smoky chorizo or a pan of saffron rice can make the usual dinner plans feel too plain.
That’s why the best Spanish restaurant in Nashville should do more than serve good food. It should make sharing feel easy, comfortable, and worth slowing down for.
Tapas spots already have that built-in rhythm. You order a few plates, pass them around, and let the meal unfold without rushing.
For this list, I looked for places where the flavors feel lively, the wine list supports the meal, and the whole night still feels simple to enjoy.
How much does a meal at a Spanish restaurant cost in Nashville?
Spanish restaurant meals in Nashville usually cost $30 to $60 per person for tapas and drinks, while a three-course meal for two often lands around $75.
| Dining Format | Estimated Cost |
| Individual tapas plates | $10-$20+ |
| Tapas and cocktails per person | $30-$60 |
| 3-course meal for two | Around $75 |
1. Peninsula

Website: peninsulanashville.com
Address: 1035 W Eastland Ave
Contact: (615) 924-1906
Hours: Thu-Sat 5:00 PM-10:00 PM
Peninsula works best when you want Spanish flavors in a quieter, more intimate room instead of a loud downtown setting.
That focused feel starts with the menu, which leans into Iberian cooking and mixes traditional Spanish ideas with French technique.
I like that the drinks are just as intentional. Their Spanish gin and tonic program, which uses specific botanicals and authentic vermut make the meal feel more planned than a quick tapas stop.
The kitchen also seems careful with allergy checks, which helps when dishes have layered ingredients.
The trade-off is that the menu is not very flexible for vegetarians.
On top of that, the short descriptions can feel vague, so you may need your server to explain a dish before ordering.

Everything was incredible
WOOOOOW! Everything was incredible. The service and the ambiance was perfectly dim for a cozy intimate dinner with loved ones. The cocktails were top notch! The ingredients and the flavors were an experience that everyone should try. 20/10 recommend.! You won’t get through this dinner without being surprised with what you taste one your tongue.

2. The Iberian Pig

Website: iberianpig.com
Address: 607 Overton St
Contact: (615) 844-4242
Hours: Mon-Thu 4:00 PM-10:00 PM; Fri-Sat 4:00 PM-11:00 PM; Sun 4:00 PM-9:00 PM
Dinner in The Gulch can get busy fast, but The Iberian Pig fits that energy well if your table wants to share and keep the night moving.
Their menu centers on Spanish and Portuguese flavors, with imported cheeses, cured meats, and tapas that feel rich without being too stiff.
That shareable setup makes it easy to order a few plates first, then add more once you know what your group likes. I also love the beverage list because the wines and cocktails feel built for salty meats and bold sauces.
The downside is that the dining room can get extremely loud during peak hours. They also skip daytime lunch service, so this is better for dinner plans than a casual midday stop.

Packed Saturday night
Snagged two lucky seats at the bar on a packed Saturday night before our jazz show at Rudy’s down the street—and I mean lucky because the wait for a table was an hour and a half. Used to hit the Decatur location back in college so I knew what I was getting into, and Nashville’s spot absolutely delivered the same quality. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, explaining each tapas dish with precision and making perfect recommendations. Cocktails were top-notch and honestly the entire meal was the culinary highlight of my Nashville weekend.

Courses were paced out perfectly
This restaurant checked all of the boxes —ambiance was perfect and I love the moody lighting, it was welcoming and we were immediately greeted and offered a seat at the bar since we were a little early for our reservation. The sangria was delicious and the food was outstanding. Our server Bailey was so knowledgeable about the menu. She answered our questions and offered great recommendations based on our likes and she was spot on. She delivered perfect service and the courses were paced out perfectly !!! We can’t wait to come back and eat our way through the menu.

3. Boqueria Fifth + Broadway

Website: boqueriarestaurant.com
Address: 5005 Broadway
Contact: (615) 245-7160
Hours: Sun-Thu 11:00 AM-10:00 PM; Fri-Sat 11:00 AM-11:00 PM
Boqueria Fifth + Broadway is useful when your group wants a lively Spanish meal without squeezing into a tiny dining room. The space feels built for bigger tables, and that matches the menu of tapas, seasonal plates, and hand-carved jamon.
I’m happy that they offer group feasts, since ordering for several people can get confusing when every dish is meant to be shared.
The bottomless weekend brunch adds another reason to book ahead, especially if sangria is part of the plan.
Because the restaurant sits inside a busy entertainment area, the main hassle is the crowd. Weekend wait times can stretch, and walk-in seating can be difficult if you arrive during the rush.

Extremely friendly service
Extremely friendly service! Very Clean. The menu has everything Tapas. For 2 people came to just over fifty bucks. Sharing plates is recommended since it is Tapas. The brussel sprouts were great, made with cranberries! Grab your favorite drinks, relax and enjoy.

The COSTILLA is an absolute MUST
The calamari was perfectly crispy and well seasoned. The lamb was overcooked and tough, but the flavor was there. The COSTILLA is an absolute MUST!!! If you like short rib and bone marrow, this dish is for you. I was impressed they got the bottom to be crispy. The fatty bone marrow was divine and the short rib was tender and flavorful. We shamelessly cleaned this pan. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive and the place was cozy, beautiful, and clean.

4. Barcelona Wine Bar

Website: barcelonawinebar.com
Address: 1200 Villa Pl Suite 110
Contact: (615) 327-0600
Hours: Mon-Thu 4:00 PM-10:00 PM; Fri 4:00 PM-12:00 AM; Sat 11:00 AM-12:00 AM; Sun 11:00 AM-10:00 PM
Barcelona Wine Bar makes the most sense when the wine is just as important as the food. Their bottle list is huge, but the staff can still make it feel approachable if you need help choosing something that fits the table.
That wine focus pairs well with the rustic Spanish-style plates. The kitchen changes the menu often, so the meal can feel seasonal instead of locked into the same choices every visit.
I love the Sunday half-off wine special because it makes rare bottles feel a little more reachable.
The trade-off is that the room gets loud and fast-paced at night. They also do not open for weekday lunch, so it works better for evening plans or weekend dining.

Barcelona was absolutely incredible
Barcelona was absolutely incredible!! I sat at the bar and Dakota was phenomenal. He was super knowledgeable about the menu and wine selections and offered great suggestions. The Bacon Wrapped Dates were to die for and everything on my charcuterie was fantastic as well! If you’re thinking about dessert, don’t skip it, the chocolate cake was fabulous I will definitely be coming back for the olive oil cake.

Wine flight was custom chosen
Tapas were great, especially the potatoes, croquetas, flank steak, duck confit, empenadas. Wine flight was custom chosen by our waitress based on my description of what I like and she nailed it. Service was excellent and fast. Restaurant is beautiful. Will definitely return.

5. Lola

Website: lolanashville.com
Address: 4401 Murphy Rd
Contact: (615) 830-5499
Hours: Sun-Thu 4:00 PM-9:00 PM; Fri-Sat 4:00 PM-9:30 PM
Lola fits a slower Sylvan Park dinner when you want Spanish-inspired small plates without the downtown rush.
The menu feels creative but still easy to enjoy, with shareable dishes, Iberian wines, and a relaxed patio that works well for a low-pressure night out.
I appreciate that their social hour gives you a more affordable way to try drinks and papas bravas before committing to a full meal. Their non-alcoholic cocktails help too, especially when someone at the table wants something festive without wine.
The limitation is the schedule. They open late in the day, so lunch is not an option, and booking for larger groups can take extra effort because it requires a manual inquiry.

What a delightful Spanish experience
What a delightful Spanish experience coming here. The cocktails, and food was truly wonderful including boards, salads, smoked trout dip, and especially the main dish pork. The cheese cake was completely different too, not too sweet and fluffy, like eating a cloud of goodness. Alex our server was fantastic and created such a wonderful first time @lolas. We can’t wait to come back here!!

Seriously, you have to try them
We really enjoyed our experience here! Food and drinks were good. Service was fantastic. We loved the Palomas and the server made great recommendations for bottles of wine. Everything was tasty but our entire group was especially blown away by the croquetas. Seriously, you have to try them. The presentation of everything was nice and the place is beautifully decorated.
