Find safer surgical care with the 5 best oral surgeons in Nashville

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Surgical scope: I checked whether each clinic handles more than basic extractions. That matters when implants or jaw concerns are part of the treatment plan.

Sedation and comfort: I looked for anesthesia support and clear recovery guidance. Dental surgery can feel intimidating, even when the procedure is common.

Technology used: I checked for 3D imaging and planning tools. Good imaging can make treatment safer and easier to explain.

Access and scheduling: I compared hours and referral needs. I also checked whether the location would be simple for Nashville patients to reach.

Oral surgery can feel intimidating, especially when you’re facing an extraction or dental implant. A good specialist should make the next step feel clear, from the treatment plan to what recovery may look like afterward.

When I searched for the best oral surgeon in Nashville, I started with safety and comfort because those are usually the biggest concerns before a procedure.

From there, I checked whether each clinic offered modern imaging, sedation support, and practical scheduling for urgent dental problems.

If you’re still comparing care options, nearby dental clinics can also help you understand what strong treatment planning should include before you book.

How much does oral surgery cost in Nashville?

Oral surgeon costs in Nashville can range from about $120 for a simple extraction to $50,000 for full-mouth dental implants, depending on the procedure and sedation needs.

ProcedureEstimated Cost
Simple tooth extraction$120-$300 per tooth
Surgical tooth extractionUp to $550 per tooth
Wisdom tooth removal$120-$800 per tooth
Single dental implant and crown$3,000-$5,000
Full-mouth dental implantsUp to $50,000

1. Tennessee Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons

tennessee-oral-and-maxillofacial-surgeons

Website: tnoralsurgery.com

Address: 4322 Harding Pike, Suite 201

Contact: (615) 829-7000

Hours: Mon-Fri 8 AM-4 PM

When a procedure feels more complex than a routine extraction, Tennessee Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons is built for that kind of care.

The practice focuses strictly on oral surgery, so the team can handle wisdom teeth and implant cases with stronger surgical planning. That focus also helps when trauma care or anesthesia support is part of the appointment.

Dr. Spencer Haley’s dual-board certification provides reassurance, and the clinic’s work with local sports teams adds another layer of trust for patients who want proven surgical hands.

The trade-off is demand. Non-emergency appointments may take longer to book. Also, you’ll still need a separate dentist for cleanings or fillings.

Pros

  • Focused oral surgery care
  • Dual-board certified safety
  • Trusted by local sports teams
  • Advanced minimally invasive options

Cons

  • Longer non-emergency wait times
  • No routine dentistry services

Quick and painless experience

Dr. Haley removed 2 of my wisdom teeth about 10 days ago. It was a quick and painless experience and I’ve had very little discomfort during my recovery. He was kind and reassuring throughout the entire process. The office was also very organized and proactive with handling insurance, which was a plus.

Will not dread future appointments

I saw Dr. Culbreath on Friday for a tooth extraction and bone graft.  He did an amazing job, it was quick and pain-free. He was very kind and reassuring and called later in the evening to check on me. His assistant was great too, she was sweet, funny, and helped set my mind as ease. I highly recommend this office and will not dread future appointments with them.

2. Hermitage Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

hermitage-oral-and-maxillofacial-surgery

Website: hermitageos.com

Address: 616 Brandywine Village Ct, Old Hickory

Contact: (615) 883-0067

Hours: Mon, Tue & Thu 8 AM-4:30 PM; Wed 8 AM-12 PM; Fri 8 AM-3 PM

Getting an appointment can be stressful when you’re already in pain, so direct booking is the biggest advantage at Hermitage Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. You don’t have to wait for a dentist referral before starting the consultation process.

From there, the team uses 3D imaging and same-day IV sedation to make the plan easier to understand. That matters if dental anxiety makes you delay care, because the visit can feel more controlled from the start.

Their PRP/PRF healing options may also help if recovery time is a concern.

The trade-off is access, since the single Old Hickory location can mean a long drive, and weekend scheduling isn’t available.

Pros

  • No dental referral required
  • Same-day IV sedation available
  • Advanced PRP/PRF healing options
  • Board-certified expertise

Cons

  • Only one office location
  • Closed on weekends

Great experience

We had a great experience at Hermitage Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for my son’s wisdom teeth removal. The staff was timely, friendly, and very professional. The office itself is beautiful and made the whole process feel calm and comfortable (even a warm fireplace). The doctor called that evening to personally check on how my son was doing, which meant a lot to us. Highly recommend ~ truly a great experience from start to finish.

Visually able to show me what was going on

This was a very unexpected visit. I also don’t do very well with anything to do with my teeth. The whole crew at HOMS was amazing. They settled me in and were visually able to show me what was going on and what the best options were going forward. Probably one of the best visits I have ever had to any kind of dental specialist. Thanks y’all, thanks for the kindness and healing touch.

3. Green Hills Oral Surgery

Website: greenhillsoralsurgery.com

Address: 3990 Hillsboro Pike, Ste 350

Contact: (615) 385-1644

Hours: Mon-Thu 8 AM-4:30 PM; Fri 8 AM-1 PM

Patients who want a calmer surgical setting may connect with Green Hills Oral Surgery. Here, comfort is part of the experience, not just an extra perk.

Dr. Marek Adamiak’s hospital-based training is helpful for complex medical cases that need extra care. That background pairs well with the clinic’s diagnostic tools, which can reduce extra back-and-forth before treatment.

The office also accepts many major insurance plans, so the financial side may feel easier to manage before surgery.

The trade-off is scheduling. This is a single-surgeon practice, so appointments can be less flexible when the doctor’s calendar is full. You’ll also need a separate general dentist for routine cleanings.

Pros

  • Elite surgical credentials
  • Comfort-focused setting
  • Efficient diagnostic tools
  • Broad insurance acceptance

Cons

  • Scheduling depends on one surgeon
  • Routine dental services unavailable

Excellent care and outstanding results

Dr. Adamiak and his staff were incredibly kind, professional, and attentive while caring for my daughter during her wisdom teeth extractions. Beth was amazing at explaining everything and helping us feel comfortable. My daughter did wonderfully post-op with only mild pain, minimal swelling, and no bruising at all. We are so grateful to Dr. Adamiak and his entire team for the excellent care and outstanding results!

4. Solace Implant Center & Oral Surgery

solace-implant-center-oral-surgery

Website: solaceoralsurgery.com

Address: 1707 State St.

Contact: (615) 320-1392

Hours: Mon-Fri 7 AM-5:30 PM

Solace Implant Center & Oral Surgery is useful if you want implant planning and restorative work handled in a more connected way.

The in-house dental lab helps the team control fit and turnaround, so the process feels less scattered after surgery and follow-up care. That setup pairs well with Dr. Romero’s veteran-led approach, which feels precise without making the visit cold.

The clinic also offers in-house financing, giving patients another path when traditional credit isn’t a good fit.

The downside is convenience. Traffic and parking around State Street can be frustrating during busy hours, and the solo-practitioner setup may cause delays when a complex case runs long.

Pros

  • Fast in-house dental lab
  • Flexible in-house financing
  • Veteran-led precision care
  • Advanced 3D diagnostic technology

Cons

  • Tricky midtown traffic and parking
  • Solo practitioner scheduling limits

5. Oral Surgical Institute

oral-surgical-institute

Website: oralsurgicalinstitute.com

Address: 500 28th Ave N, Suite 100

Contact: (615) 329-4401

Hours: Mon-Fri 8 AM-5 PM

Oral Surgical Institute fits patients who want a highly technical plan before committing to a major procedure. Its 3D planning process can show what jaw surgery may involve, which helps when treatment feels hard to picture or explain clearly.

From there, the surgeons’ Harvard and Vanderbilt backgrounds add confidence for patients who need more than a basic extraction.

The practice also accepts most major insurance plans, so coverage questions may be easier to sort out before treatment begins.

However, access can be the main drawback. They only operate two offices, which may be less convenient for some suburbs. Lobby waits can also run long, especially when the schedule gets backed up.

Pros

  • Elite surgical education backgrounds
  • Accepts most major insurance
  • Advanced 3D surgical planning
  • In-house surgical internship program

Cons

  • Limited to two locations
  • Long lobby waits reported

Truly great experience

I had a truly great experience. My conversation with Dr. Pitts felt more like talking with a friend than with someone simply doing their job — light, humorous, and at the same time highly professional. He explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and offered several options for addressing my issue. The staff were equally wonderful, showing a genuine desire to help rather than just going through the motions. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and thorough. Thank you  very much!

He was honest

The staff was very friendly. The doctor gave me a consultation, after I was told by my dentist’s office over the phone that I pretty much would need my broken wisdom tooth extracted, and recommend that I NOT get it pulled for various reasons and that I could wait until my next dentist appointment to get it taken care of. This was after I told him I’ve been having no issues or pain. He was honest.
