Best Health Screening Services in Nashville for Catching Issues Before They Catch You

best-health-screening-nashville
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Convenience and Speed: I looked at how easy it is to book an appointment, get checked in, and receive results. For people with busy schedules, saving time can make a big difference.

Cost and Transparency: Healthcare can be expensive, so I focused on providers that are upfront about their pricing. I also considered places that offer affordable options or make it easy to understand what you're paying for.

Scope of Services: Everyone has different health needs. I looked for facilities that offer a variety of screenings, from basic health tests to more specialized services and preventive care.

Patient Experience: A health screening can feel a little stressful, especially if it's your first time. I considered how welcoming the staff are, how comfortable the environment is, and whether the overall experience helps patients feel at ease.

Staying on top of your health is important, but finding the right place for a screening can feel like one more thing on an already busy to-do list.

Whether you’re booking a routine checkup for yourself or arranging screenings for your team, choosing the right provider matters.

I know how overwhelming it can be to sort through all the options in Nashville. That’s why I put together this guide to make the search easier.

I looked into some of the city’s top providers to help you find a health screening service that fits your needs, schedule, and wellness goals.

After your screening, you might want to consider pulling out health insurance coverage to stay on track without draining your wallet.

How much does a health screening cost in Nashville?

Health screening services in Nashville can cost anywhere from under $50 for basic lab work to more than $3,000 for comprehensive executive health assessments.

Screening TypeEstimated Cost
Basic Blood PanelsUnder $50
Lipid Panels$36 – $59
Advanced Body Scans (CT/MRI)$640 – $2,400+
Comprehensive Executive Imaging$3,000+

1. Any Lab Test Now

any-lab-test-now

Website: https://www.anylabtestnow.com/

Address: 114 29th Avenue

Contact: (615) 730-6047

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Saturday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Need test results fast without booking a doctor’s appointment first? That’s where Any Lab Test Now stands out. The clinic lets you order lab tests directly, saving you time and extra appointments. If you have a busy schedule, this can be a huge advantage.

Most visits are quick, often taking less than 15 minutes from start to finish. The results are usually available within a few days, and the clinic accepts HSA and FSA cards for added convenience.

Another thing I like is the upfront pricing. You know what you’re paying before the test, so there are no surprise bills later.

The biggest drawback is that you only receive the test results. The clinic doesn’t provide a detailed medical consultation to explain what those numbers mean. You’ll likely need to follow up with your doctor for interpretation and next steps.

Pros

  • No doctor referral needed
  • Upfront price transparency
  • Fast 15-minute visits
  • HSA and FSA eligible

Cons

  • No medical interpretation

Such a better experience than getting labs done at the hospital!

Ashley was pleasant and caring. She went to extra trouble understanding exactly what I needed and I feel like she’s here for me if I need to come back. Such a better experience than getting labs done at the hospital!

Very easy to get through my blood draw

Ashley was my technician this morning. It was near painless which I like. The clinic was quiet and made it very easy to get through my blood draw. She was very efficient in answering my questions and making sure that I knew when the results would come back. I would highly recommend any lab test now.

2. Nashville CARES

Website: http://www.nashvillecares.org/

Address: 633 Thompson Lane

Contact: (615) 259-4866 / [email protected]

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

For people looking for affordable and supportive care, Nashville CARES is one of the strongest options in the city.

They combine health screenings, mental health support, and pharmacy services under one roof. That makes getting help much simpler and less stressful.

One of this clinic’s biggest strengths is the free and confidential HIV and STI testing. Results are often available in less than 30 minutes, helping reduce the anxiety that comes with waiting.

The staff is known for being welcoming, respectful, and focused on patient privacy. The clinic also works hard to create an inclusive environment where people feel comfortable asking questions.

That said, Nashville CARES specializes mainly in HIV and sexual health services. If you’re looking for broader screenings such as heart health tests or executive wellness exams, you’ll likely need a different provider.

Pros

  • Free confidential testing
  • Rapid results
  • Integrated support services
  • Welcoming environment

Cons

  • Limited general health screening

This clinic is efficient

This clinic is efficient and I want to give a kudos to Diane! She is an Allstar managing the front desk and the way she truly cares speaks volumes! I believe she should be recognized for her friendliness, diligence, & efficiency!

Very friendly, caring service today

I received very friendly, caring service today at the walk-in clinic. Tina was so kind with me this morning, and Diane set me up with a follow-up appointment this afternoon and was very welcoming. Elizabeth and Zach made me feel like I was in great hands. Amber in the lab was gentle with the blood draw. I’ve known of Nashville Cares for many years, and I appreciate their kindness and efficiency today when I needed them.

3. Music City PrEP Clinic

music-city-prep-clinic

Website: http://www.musiccityprep.org/

Address: 225 South 11th St.

Contact: (615) 469-1065

Hours: Monday to Tuesday, 10:00  AM – 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Wednesday to Thursday, 8:00  AM – 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Saturday, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Removing financial barriers is the main goal at Music City PrEP Clinic. Many services are offered at little to no cost, making healthcare more accessible for people who may not have insurance or a large medical budget.

The clinic focuses heavily on HIV prevention, STI testing, and related healthcare services. They also offer telehealth appointments and an on-site pharmacy, making it easier to handle multiple healthcare needs in one place.

Patients often praise the supportive atmosphere and the strong connection to Nashville’s LGBTQ+ community. That welcoming approach helps many people feel comfortable discussing sensitive health concerns.

But the clinic’s focus is also their biggest limitation. They don’t offer the wide range of screenings available at general health centers. During busy periods, some patients may also experience longer wait times between appointments and lab work.

Pros

  • Low-cost services
  • Onsite pharmacy
  • Telehealth available
  • Inclusive environment

Cons

  • Limited screening options
  • Possible wait times

Excellent experience from start to finish

I had an excellent experience from start to finish

booking, check-in, initial screening, provider, medical assistant, and phlebotomist. Every step of the way, they made me feel comfortable and allowed me to be myself without any judgment. It was clear that they genuinely care about their patients and go above and beyond to provide exceptional care. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Welcoming, pleasant, eased my nervousness

I became knowledgeable about Memphis Music City PrEP at a recent PRIDE event.  I visited the facility to be tested.  All the staff I met were great, but extra kudos go out to Natasha and Kisha. Both ladies were welcoming, pleasant, eased my nervousness and were knowledgeable. Thank you

4. MaxWell Clinic

Address: 103 Continental Pl Suite 300

Contact: (615) 370-0091

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm | Saturday to Sunday, Closed

If you’re looking for answers beyond a standard checkup, MaxWell Clinic takes a deeper approach to wellness. Instead of focusing only on symptoms, the team looks for possible root causes through advanced testing and personalized evaluations.

One thing that stands out is the amount of time providers spend with patients. The appointments often feel less rushed than those many people experience at traditional clinics.

The practice also offers specialized assessments that go beyond basic blood work, helping patients build a more complete picture of their health.

However, this type of care isn’t always budget-friendly. Many advanced tests require significant out-of-pocket spending.

The clinic is also located in Brentwood rather than central Nashville, which may add travel time depending on where you live or work.

Pros

  • Advanced wellness testing
  • Personalized approach
  • Longer consultations
  • Strong patient reviews

Cons

  • Higher out-of-pocket costs
  • Located outside Nashville

Customer Reviews

Highly professional and caring staff

I appreciate the highly professional and caring staff. I like meeting with MDs/Nurse Practitioners 4 times a year (and more often if necessary), typical appointment time 45 minutes. The team goes deep to find the cause of your symptoms and use the latest science, diagnostics and treatments to achieve your health goals. Health is not static, so it is important to maintain an ongoing membership to be able review and address new symptoms or issues. Although I am local, I see patients coming from far distances for their services.

Top notch medical clinic

Maxwell clinic is a top notch medical clinic for people who strive to stay healthy and for those who have unusual medical problems. I love how the team works to solve your medical problems instead of just treating the symptoms. The staff at the clinic are amazing!! They really spend quality time with you !

5. Next Health in The Gulch – Nashville

next-health-in-the-gulch-nashville

Website: https://www.next-health.com/

Address: 616 8th Ave

Contact: (615) 562-3717

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Saturday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Sunday, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Walking into Next Health feels more like entering a luxury wellness lounge than a traditional clinic. The focus here is prevention, helping people understand potential health risks before symptoms appear.

Their screening programs are extremely detailed. Some assessments examine more than 50 biomarkers to provide a broad view of your health.

After testing, patients meet with a provider who explains the results and develops a personalized wellness plan. The modern setting and extended hours make the experience convenient for busy professionals.

The biggest downside is cost. Many services are not covered by traditional insurance plans, making them a significant investment.

The extensive testing may also feel unnecessary for people who simply want a basic health screening rather than a deep wellness analysis.

Pros

  • Advanced screening technology
  • Expert result guidance
  • Personalized wellness plans
  • Modern clinic experience

Cons

  • Extensive testing
  • Limited insurance coverage
