1. Fat Bottom Brewing Co.

Address: 800 44th Ave N
Contact: 615-219-4589
Hours: Mon-Wed: 3PM – 9PM, Thurs: 3PM – 10PM, Fri: 11AM – 10PM, Sat: 10AM – 10PM, Sun: 10AM – 7PM
Fat Bottom Brewing Co. distinguishes itself with “The Reserve,” an expansive 3,000-square-foot event venue that blends indoor and outdoor settings.
Their modern roll-up garage doors allow for a seamless flow between the open yard and the sheltered patio.
During a recent birthday celebration I attended there, the built-in bars ensured that everyone received their drinks promptly. Even as the afternoon grew busier, the staff stayed remarkably observant and helpful.
A significant drawback, however, is the substantial food and beverage minimum required to secure the private area.
For smaller parties seeking a reserved space without a multi-thousand-dollar commitment, this may be cost-prohibitive.

Good beers decent food (we only tried the beer Mac and cheese) bartender was very friendly and helpful and the spot is cool, feels a little more like a restaurant with a bar than a taproom which may be their intent but I don’t personally love that. Either way it’s a cool cool cool spot with good beer and decent food.

Beer! Fat Bottom’s beer is fantastic and a selection of styles are available in local grocery stores. BUT…the best Fat Bottom beers are found here at the brewing company.
The foods pretty fab as well. I’m partial to the Pulled Pork & Coleslaw. Burgers are great as well and they don’t skimp on their delicious fry’s and tots!
The service is friendly, helpful and delightful!
Took home a growler of their holiday brew, Noel. Ho ho ho!

2. East Nashville Beer Works

Website: https://eastnashbeerworks.com/
Address: 320 E. Trinity Lane
Contact: 615-891-3108
Hours: Mon-Thurs: 3PM – 10PM, Fri: 2PM – 11PM, Sat: 11AM – 11PM, Sun: 11AM – 10PM
Operating under the motto that beer is community, East Nashville Beer Works delivers a highly family-friendly and dog-friendly taproom experience.
They have an expansive yard that includes a dedicated playground area to keep young children fully entertained while adults relax.
It’s a fantastic neighborhood hub with plenty of picnic tables for large groups to spread out. They pour a stellar lineup of local crafts, and their signature Honey Blonde Ale pairs perfectly with fresh pizzas.
Keep in mind that the playground is a massive draw for local families. The high volume of running children creates a very loud and energetic environment, creating a vibe that might not be ideal if you want a quiet drink.

What a gem! This place has it all, food, outdoor patio, separate play area for the kiddos, and best of all a solid beer line up! Finding truly great beer in Nashville can be a challenge unless you know the spots, this is one of those spots. Super friendly staff and plenty of space for the whole family, a date, or rolling solo. The Lagers are next level and the Hazy IPAs fantastic!

Decent beer selection with some solid brews to choose from. The pizza is decent and reasonably priced. Indoor seating isn’t the greatest, but the outdoor space makes up for it. On weekends, a lot of the seating tends to be reserved for kids’ birthday parties. The bartenders have seemed a bit unwelcoming on a few visits, though to be fair, dealing with the steady flow of kids running around the place probably makes for a long day. Staggering the party time slots more might help improve the experience for everyone. Overall, worth stopping in for a beer.

3. Village Pub and Beer Garden

Website: https://riversidevillagepub.com/
Address: 1308 McGavock Pike
Contact: 615-942-5880
Hours: Sun-Thurs: 11AM – 11PM, Fri-Sat: 11AM – 12AM
Tucked away in Riverside Village, this spot maintains a true neighborhood community feel. They offer a comfortable covered patio and an open-air yard that handles both warm and cool weather effortlessly.
You get a genuine laid-back vibe far away from the usual downtown tourist hustle.
Aside from the ambiance, their food is also worth noting. They specialize in incredible stuffed pretzel sandwiches. When I visited, I ordered their turkey and Swiss stuffed pretzel, and it completely blew standard bar food out of the water.
They also maintain a wide and rotating selection of high-quality local Tennessee drafts.
The only real headache is figuring out where to leave your car. The venue sits in a smaller neighborhood pocket with very limited on-site parking during peak evening hours.

If Frank isn’t your bartender, did you even visit Village Pub? I mean, you prob did, but Frank makes the experience even better. Haha! Thanks for being legit, Frank!
Great beer selection, tasty drinks (Frank makes a mean spicy mezcal margarita), and the pretzels are awesome too!

love this place! people leaving bad reviews because it is 21+ are entitled brats. Beer rotation always has something for everyone, food is good and usually quick. I love the BBQ on the pretzel bun and wife usually gets a bowl/salad.

4. Bavarian Bierhaus

Website: https://bavarianbierhaus.com/
Address: 121 Opry Mills Drive
Contact: 615-238-0687
Hours: Mon-Thurs: 11AM – 9PM, Fri: 11AM – 10PM, Sat: 10AM – 10PM, Sun: 10AM – 8PM
If you crave an authentic Munich Oktoberfest experience year-round, Bavarian Bierhaus delivers inside a massive 17,000-square-foot facility.
The space holds up to 600 guests inside and another 120 out on the patio. The lively atmosphere gets a huge boost from a central stage that regularly hosts traditional polka bands and Alpine horn players.
Drinks-wise, they brew their beers strictly under the 1516 German Purity Law and serve them alongside a large menu of traditional house-made German cuisine. You can grab a giant pretzel and enjoy directly imported German beers from their seasonal taps.
But because this bar sits within the bustling Opry Mills Mall complex, getting there takes some patience. Navigating mall traffic and finding close parking becomes quite frustrating on busy weekends.

As a 3rd generation german and resident of Wisconsin I recommend Bavarisn Bierhaus. I wasnt thinking get some good german food and a bavarian beer in Nashville. Very good service! It is a little odd ordering Schnitzel from someone who has a southern drawl but I love this place!

Great place to have sit down and beer. Wurst platter was tasty and dark beers were nice. Loved red curry dipping sauce with the wurst. Potato pancakes were a little too greasy. Pretzel pudding for desert was spot on and a must try. Price a little high but for atmosphere you worth the occasional visit. Clean facility.

5. TailGate Brewery Germantown

Website: https://www.tailgatebeer.com/germantown
Address: 7300 Charlotte Pike
Contact: 615-457-1424
Hours: Sun-Thurs: 11AM – 9PM, Fri-Sat: 11AM – 10PM
TailGate Brewery is Nashville’s first craft seltzery. It boasts an open-concept taproom and scratch pizza kitchen that sits directly beside the local baseball stadium.
What I love the most here is the expansive and highly dog-friendly patio equipped with fencing, covered seating options, and cooling fans.
The drink selection is also worth mentioning. The menu is massive with 30 rotating taps of craft beers, ciders, and house-made hard seltzers. They serve a robust selection of Detroit-style craft pizzas that pair wonderfully with their crisp beverages.
The location makes it the ultimate spot for hanging out right before a baseball game. But naturally, that prime location is a double-edged sword.
The patio frequently becomes overcrowded and overwhelmingly loud whenever there’s a home game.

This was a nice quiet spot for pizza and beer! The food and beer we ordered were great! A lot of selection for beer choices and an impressive pizza! I can only imagine how much fun it is to watch a baseball game while there! The inside and outside seating options would make this experience over the top from the left field corner. Parking was a little bit of a pain though.

We came in a Thursday and it was pretty busy. Love coming to this spot because the different varieties of beer. The honey nut and Kyle beer were my favorites. The pizza of the month ham and Mac and cheese was soooo good. Sawyer was an amazing bartender. My boyfriend and I got 2 flights and have different taste in beer and he made the perfect flight for us with great recommendations!
