We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Tea Selection Quality: We analyzed the variety and sourcing of the loose-leaf teas offered at each location. Establishments with rare or premium local blends scored higher in our evaluation.

Ambience and Setting: The physical atmosphere plays a crucial role in a traditional afternoon tea session. We looked for venues that provide an immersive environment suitable for memorable gatherings.

Menu Offerings: We examined the savory bites and sweet treats accompanying the tea service. A balance of traditional scones and creative pastries was essential for a top rating.

Value for Money: We compared the overall cost against the quality of the food and service provided. Venues needed to offer a fair price point for the level of luxury delivered.

Finding the perfect spot to sip Earl Grey and nibble on scones is a delightful pursuit. Whether you’re a local socialite looking for an elegant afternoon or a tourist craving a unique culinary adventure, the city has a vibrant tea culture waiting for you.

The best high tea spots in Nashville reveal a world of delicate pastries and carefully steeped brews.

Indulging in a perfectly steeped cup of chamomile feels even sweeter when it supports a remarkable cause.

The Café at Thistle Farms is a nonprofit social enterprise café operating with a beautiful mission: ensuring that enjoying “The Way of Tea” directly helps empower and employ women survivors of trafficking and addiction.

Every sip carries a profound sense of purpose. The elegant tiered service arrives loaded with six chef-selected bites that dance on the palate, perfectly complementing their globally sourced loose-leaf selections.

I stopped by last month for a midday pick-me-up and was utterly charmed by the bright farmhouse aesthetic and the flaky scones. It serves as a fantastic backdrop for any event planner hosting a private brunch.

However, keep in mind that the café doesn’t operate on Sundays, which limits weekend gathering options.

Pros

  • Take-Home Afternoon Tea Box available
  • Modern farmhouse event space

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays

Don’t miss out on their fantastic oolong tea.

This place is a hidden gem with homemade bacon and fresh, quality ingredients. They serve simple yet top-notch dishes. I had the breakfast bowl, and my companion enjoyed a croissant along with some delectable cake. Don’t miss out on their fantastic oolong tea; it’s packed with flavors. I’m definitely planning to visit again. A must-try!

We had a private tea party, which was comfy and cozy.

Beautiful location and beautiful message. We did a private tea party which was comfy and cozy. We were informed that our profits will go to victims of human trafficking which warmed our hearts . Message of “love heals” everywhere. Truly a beautiful place with DELICIOUS food in the vegetarian platter and to die for teas. I can’t recommend it enough.

Customer Reviews:

Their tea is absolutely magnificent.

Local beauty. I love to stop in and get high quality food like scones and sandwiches and their tea is absolutely magnificent. The owner is a doll, he’s the best and you can often catch him there. The bread and pastries are all made in house or bY the owners neighbor. Hand crafted gifts  for anyone and beautiful candles, felt art, clothes and kids toys. Local gem

It was so delicious and very, very well priced.

What a comfy cozy little place. I had the breakfast sandwich on a croissant and earl grey tea with honey and cream and it was so delicious and very very well priced. All of the sundries and locally made foods for sale were good too! I also purchased locally made spaghetti sauce from Gina’s Italians Cuisine and it was delicious! The lemon loaf was to die for. Some of the sundry items had me laughing out loud too. Love this place. I will be returning frequently.

Opulence meets playful theatricality inside this sophisticated hotel dining room. Blue Aster is known for upscale immersive afternoon tea themes like the whimsical “Mad Hatter Tea Party.”

They brilliantly combine refined Conrad luxury with pure culinary magic. Taking inspiration from the Northern Mediterranean, the kitchen infuses a unique coastal twist into traditional scones and finger sandwiches.

Guests can easily elevate their afternoon with artful libations or premium Champagne for an extra celebratory touch.

When I celebrated my anniversary here, the rich pastries and the perfectly chilled bubbly made the afternoon entirely unforgettable. The attached lounge stays open late into the evening for those who wish to linger over cocktails.

But because this is a highly themed luxury experience, it comes with a premium price tag best suited for rare special occasions.

Pros

  • Upscale thematic experiences
  • Sophisticated hotel dining room
  • Unique Mediterranean culinary twist
  • Extended lounge hours

Cons

  • Premium price tag

Customer Reviews:

We enjoyed relaxing and spending time together.

My mom and I had the best experience!! We booked for the mad hatter tea party and already plan on coming back next month! Our server explained everything thoroughly and answered our questions about the tea, and we loved that non-alcoholic drinks were available. The scones were fantastic, along with the food on the tray. The presentation was stunning, and we enjoyed getting to relax and spend time together 🙂

International Tea and Coffee Company is a casual East Nashville cafe.

A unique feature here is how they let guests physically smell an extensive wall of loose-leaf teas before having them customized into hot or iced lattes. The sensory experience of selecting your brew is incredibly inviting.

They have an impressive beverage variety, which includes comforting specialties like the Earl Grey creme London Fog. They also serve substantial brunch options like savory Shrimp and Grits.

It’s a fantastic destination to grab a bite, perhaps even before heading out to a nice Asian restaurant for dinner later in the evening. There’s plenty of table space and free Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) for remote workers.

Just note that this location operates strictly as a roastery rather than a formal tiered room.

Love this spot !!

Our new favorite spot. We’ve been 4x in one week! I absolutely love tea and my husband is coffee only. Both are incredible here. If you want the vibes of 2007 Starbucks in the best way, you’ll find it here. I love that you can make a tea latter with most of their on the wall teas (you can smell before you order!). My go to is vanilla black tea + peach oolong tea latte w/ whole milk, sweet. Their food is also incredible. Whipped feta 10/10. Happy hour bites- so good. Love this spot !!

My wife loves coffee, I love tea. At International Tea & Coffee we’re both happy!

This wonderful little shop is slightly off the beaten track but we’ll worth the trip. Excellent drinks, friendly service, good noshes in a cozy atmosphere. Y wife loves coffee. I love tea. At International Tea & Coffee we’re both happy! ☕
