1. Uzbegim Halal Restaurant

Address: 117 28th Avenue
Contact: (347)-613-8691, [email protected]
Hours: Daily, 10:00 AM – 12:00 AM
Biting into the handmade specialty dishes at Uzbegim Halal Restaurant instantly transports you to Central Asia. This spot specializes in authentic charcoal-grilled meats and unique scratch-made halal options you won’t easily find elsewhere.
You can really taste the rich culinary traditions in their crunchy, juicy meat samosas. But when I visited, I demolished a plate of their Chaykhana Style Plov, and the perfectly spiced, tender lamb practically melted in my mouth.
Their late-night hours make it incredibly easy to fix those midnight kebab cravings. You just need to plan ahead because the dining area is quite small. This limited seating means you might face a bit of a wait during the peak dinner rush.
I’ve never heard of this type of food before. I almost got Thai food, but I said to myself, “When would I ever have the chance to eat Halal food again. Glad I made the right choice. This was my first night in Nashville and what started my culinary cuisine weekend.

My favorite halal restaurant in town! It’s my 5th time eating there and never disappointed! The food is fantastic, love the kunefe and tiramisu, they even gave us hot tea for free this time. The waitresses are always friendly and helpful. You should give it a try!

3. Zaaki Halal Food

Website: https://zaakihalal.com/
Address: 614 18th Avenue N
Contact: (615) 476-1068, [email protected]
Hours: Monday – Friday: 2:00 PM – 11:45 PM
Zaaki Halal Food serves a highly diverse menu blending traditional street food staples with Indian-inspired rice dishes for quick, reliable meals.
I grabbed one of their customizable chicken shawarma wraps while scouting locations for an event planner in Nashville, and the bold, tangy garlic sauce completely woke up my taste buds.
You’ve got total control over your meal by choosing your preferred meats and vibrant sauces. They also serve fantastic South Asian flavors like spicy tikka masala alongside classic American wings.
The only real downside is their mid-afternoon opening time. Because they’re closed all morning, you can’t rely on them for an early lunch break. However, their late-night availability perfectly caters to those afternoon and evening street food cravings.
We ordered Zaaki Halal for the first time tonight via Uber Eats, & it did not disappoint. For reference, my husband lived in NYC for 8 years, which has some amazing halal food, & he’s been craving it ever since we moved to Nashville. We finally gave Zaaki a try, & I can’t believe we didn’t find this place sooner. It would’ve saved us so many indecisive nights trying to agree on where to order food from! We got the chicken over rice bowl & the beef shawarma wrap, and both dishes were a solid 10/10. Highly recommend giving them a try!

4. Layali Dubai Restaurant

Website: https://layalidubai.net/
Address: 1845 S Church St Murfreesboro
Contact: (615)-854-6838, [email protected]
Hours: Daily, 10:00 AM – 12:00 AM
Stepping into this dining room feels like a major upgrade from your standard casual lunch spot. Layali Dubai Restaurant combines a sophisticated environment with elegant, authentic cuisine and specialty beverages for a truly upscale halal experience.
The kitchen treats every hot and cold traditional appetizer like a beautiful piece of edible art. They have a diverse soup and stew selection, which adds amazing comfort-food variety to the usual grill items.
You can easily skip the crowded Italian restaurants in Nashville and book a dedicated reservation here for a fancy date night. They even feature a dedicated lounge area so guests can sip tea and relax after a heavy meal.
The main drawback involves the location. Because they operate in Murfreesboro rather than the city center, you’ll have to endure a longer commute if you live closer to downtown.
Everything was perfect! The food was excellent and very delicious. The atmosphere was great and the service was outstanding. A special thanks to Waheed — he was very friendly, welcoming, and provided amazing service. I really enjoyed my experience and will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

5. Alrayan Market & Restaurant

Website: http://www.alrayanrestaurantandmarket.com/
Address: 1107 Memorial Blvd Murfreesboro
Contact: (615) 494-5977
Hours: Mon-Sat 11:00 AM – 8:30 PM, Sun 11:00 AM – 7:45 PM
Grabbing incredibly fresh food and hard-to-find international groceries in one single trip feels like hitting the jackpot. Alrayan Market & Restaurant functions as an amazing dual-purpose destination for freshly prepared halal meals and imported ingredients.
The kitchen turns out some of the silkiest, most intensely flavorful hummus you’ll ever scoop up with a warm pita. Vegetarians, in particular, absolutely love their perfectly textured, crispy falafel.
After your meal, you can wander the aisles to stock up on authentic spices to upgrade your own home cooking.
Don’t let the somewhat unassuming, plain exterior of the building fool you. The outside looks quite basic, but the high-quality food inside completely blows you away.
Plus, the fast, highly accommodating service keeps the whole family happy and completely full.
Absolutely excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The music is such a nice touch in the dining room. Prices are very low for several things that I honestly didn’t expect at the market. In addition, the way that they expose you to their culture doesn’t feel oppressive, just a tiny little nudge that it’s a way of life for people out there. The knick knacks and selection at the market are also superb for someone who is worried about keeping Kosher/Halal as well.
