The Best Composite Decking Services in Nashville to Transform Your Backyard

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Material Expertise: I looked closely at how familiar each builder is with premium composite brands. Companies specializing exclusively in these materials often deliver a more reliable finish.

Warranty Offerings: A long-lasting deck requires solid financial protection behind the craftsmanship. I prioritized contractors who offer clear, manufacturer-backed warranties alongside their own structural guarantees.

Design Flexibility: Your outdoor space should seamlessly match the specific architecture of your home. I evaluated builders who provide custom 3D modeling and adaptable design solutions instead of rigid templates.

Code Compliance: Navigating local building permits can be a massive headache for homeowners. I gave higher marks to services that handle all engineering and municipality approvals on your behalf.

Local Experience: Understanding the local climate and temperature shifts is crucial for outdoor construction. Builders with decades of experience in the region know exactly how to prevent long-term weathering issues.

Upgrading your backyard is such an exciting project. But with that comes finding the right builder who understands our local climate and unique home styles.

It can feel very overwhelming to look through endless portfolios and quotes on your own. That’s why I evaluated several local experts to find the best fit for your specific home.

My list ranks the top builders by warranty and material expertise.  This should make your final decision much easier and give you peace of mind.

Archadeck of Nashville provides a reliable safety net for outdoor space planning through their Guarantee Corporation. This unique structure ensures your project gets completed as contracted, even if the local office faces unexpected issues.

They also offer a dual-layered warranty that covers workmanship for one year and structural integrity for five years.

Service-wise, they follow a structured process that walks you through everything from the initial 3D design to securing permits.

I really like their specialized resurfacing option, which lets you replace old boards with composite while keeping the original frame. This approach can save you a lot of money on extensive deck repairs

However, keep in mind that their professional services and protections come with a premium price tag. The initial design phase can also take some time before construction actually begins.

Pros

  • Handles all Nashville building permits
  • Conducts rigorous structural safety audits
  • Partners with premium material brands
  • Provides a dedicated construction manager

Cons

  • Premium upfront investment required
  • Custom design process increases lead time

We are very pleased

Archadeck was very easy to work with. They created a great design for our composite deck and concrete patio, and offered different options to help us stay within our budget. There were some delays in getting everything finished but this was in the midst of the pandemic with materials and staffing could be hard to find. We are very pleased with the finished product and we enjoy our deck every day.

Definitely hit the jackpot!

Archadeck of Nashville did an outstanding job on our deck rebuild and new patio!  The project managers and crew were professional, accommodating, and efficient.  Project Managers Braxton and Colton kept us up-to-date on the status of the project and Office Manager Karen was a delight to work with.  And I can’t say enough about Megan (design consultant) and Russell!  Professional, patient, honest, and kind. We did a lot of shopping around and definitely hit the jackpot!  If we had to do it all over again we would no doubt chose Archadeck of Nashville!

Finding a builder with advanced knowledge of materials makes a huge difference. If you agree, then you’ll like that Peak Carpentry and Deck holds a Trex Pro Platinum Certification.

This status means they’re highly experienced composite installers who follow strict manufacturer guidelines. They specialize in both Trex and TimberTech, which gives homeowners flexible options for colors and textures.

I recently spoke with a neighbor who hired them, and they were thrilled with the artisanal carpentry that made their structural frame incredibly solid. The business focuses specifically on materials that withstand Tennessee humidity without warping.

Their installations also include hidden fastening systems for a clean look.

However, because they focus on high-end brands, your choices might be limited if you prefer off-brand materials. Their service is also tailored to a higher price point than basic wood options.

Pros

  • Uses weather-resistant composite materials
  • Follows strict manufacturer installation standards
  • Eliminates the need for regular staining
  • Offers custom features like hidden fasteners

Cons

  • Geared toward a high-end price bracket
  • Relies heavily on specific brand partnerships

Wonderful experience

Brandon and Will made a large, somewhat daunting deck rebuild into an effortless experience and the results are better than I could have hoped for. The entire process from beginning to end provided peace of mind, confidence, and trust. I could go on at length, but if you reach out to them you will quickly see how great they truly are at their craft and how their sage composure makes for a wonderful experience. Add to that pricing that is transparent, fair and beyond reasonable…what more could any of us ask for?

Thank you, gentleman-for everything!

Very professional, kind and respectful

Brandon completed our deck at the end of 2024. I give him my highest recommendation. He is very professional, kind and respectful.

Harpeth Decks is a great choice if you want a builder with deep Nashville roots who truly cares about quality. They offer a boutique service that focuses on custom designs rather than basic templates.

Since they’re officially recognized Trex Pro installers, you can trust that your deck will be built to high standards.  They also use premium materials and offer a 25-year warranty to protect your investment for a long time.

We like that the team handles everything from city permits to complex engineering, so you don’t have to worry about the details.

HMC Contracting LLC specializes in the intricate design of curved composite decks.

They bring nearly three decades of local experience to the table, having operated in the Nashville area since 1998. And as official members of the North American Deck and Railing Association, their builds always adhere to strict safety standards.

I hired them once for a multi-level addition, and their flexible team easily adapted to our mid-project changes. They’re a licensed contractor with a high project limit, allowing them to manage extensive residential builds seamlessly.

You can even request additions like pergolas or screened porches.

However, they also handle interior remodeling, so their focus is split rather than being deck-exclusive. Their specific licensing cap may also limit them from ultra-massive commercial projects.

Pros

  • Covers a wide service area across Middle Tennessee
  • Handles complex designs like above-ground pool layouts
  • Adapts to design changes while staying on schedule
  • Offers turnkey integration for complete backyard makeovers

Cons

  • Focuses on general remodeling instead of just decks
  • Builder license has a strict budget cap

Crew were great

Chad built our deck 1 year ago and we have enjoyed it so much. His crew were great and built us a beautiful, quality product. I’ve waited a year to post to “test Drive” it and it has been just great! The pictures don’t do it justice! His pricing was just where it needed to be as well. I highly recommend his company and hope he continues to have much success. Glenn and Amy Coeler Smyrna.

Everyone was friendly and very helpful

I was preparing to sell my house and needed a new deck put in to replace the old one that had been taken down. I knew it was short notice, but HMC was very accommodating and 5 days later I had the deck installed! Everyone was friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend these guys!

  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Visualizing a major renovation is often difficult, but Keystone Outdoor Living makes it easier with a photo-realistic 3D design process.

This family-owned business combines deep Amish craftsmanship traditions with modern technology to show you exactly how your new deck will look.

They manage every single detail of the project for you, from the initial architectural drawings and permits to the final inspections.

Their crew even specializes in heat-bending boards to create unique curved designs that most builders avoid. And to ensure your investment lasts, they also offer steel framing options for a foundation that outlasts the surface.

Just keep in mind that they don’t work with traditional wood at all, so you won’t find any low-cost material options here. Their focus is on large outdoor living transformations instead of small or simple deck projects.

Pros

  • Prevents design regrets with accurate 3D modeling
  • Uses premium materials that resist rotting and splintering
  • Provides durable steel framing options
  • Acts as a single point of contact for the entire build

Cons

  • Refuses to build with traditional pressure-treated wood
  • Tailored mostly toward large luxury transformations

They were very accommodating

From start to finish our experience with Keystone Deck was amazing. They were very accommodating and Ruben and his crew did a great job of keeping us informed and following through with everything. if you want a great experience with your project this is the company to go with Karen and Greg Ashmore.

Great crew and Great company!

We were the first deck project for this company in TN and we are very happy with the outcome. I would highly recommend them as they had great communication and transparency on the process and the outcome was identical to the 3D rendering which we initially fell in love with. Great crew and Great company!!!
