With its bright neon lights and lively karaoke spots, it’s hard to see Music City as a destination for lovebirds. Underneath all these, however, lies a soft spot that not many people know about Nashville, which is a shame, as it’s one of the most romantic cities in Tennessee!
From spas to charming boutique hotels, Nashville offers more romantic getaway spots than most people think, and that’s what my team and I aim to share with you here!
Of course, what’s “romantic” can be purely subjective, so we compiled what we think offers the most intimate date for two. So, if you’re looking for some added spice in your relationship that isn’t Nashville’s hot chicken or honky tonks, keep on reading!

When I think of romantic spots, it’s usually those that take you away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and Radnor Lake State Park is one of the prime examples of this. What’s even better is that it’s only a 22-minute drive away from Downtown, making it perfect for quick getaways!
Radnor Lake State Park offers the complete opposite of Nashville’s lively lifestyle, with its forested trails and lakeside paths being perfect for calm and slow walks. It’s also through these walks that you can spot breathtaking wildlife activities, such as herons gliding across the lake.
If you want a true romantic experience that’s also fun, you can bring your bikes on your road trip and cycle along the Otter Creek Road Trail. This activity during the golden hour will make you feel like you’re in a cheesy rom-com flick!
| Pro tip: Bring a thermos full of your favourite coffee, and sit by the water to enjoy one of the most serene and scenic coffee dates without spending a dime! |
