Nashville Upholstery stood out for its versatility. Their work goes well beyond standard furniture repairs. They also take on projects like automotive headliners and even medical equipment, which isn’t something you see at most upholstery shops.

They’ve been serving the Nashville area for more than three decades, and that long history shows in how they approach older pieces.

Instead of simply replacing the fabric, they focus on preserving the structure of antique furniture. That attention to detail helps keep the original character of each piece intact

When I brought in an old mid-century dining chair for an assessment, the process was straightforward. They offered a free quote and took the time to explain what the repair would involve.

It also became clear that the team is comfortable handling both large commercial jobs and delicate personal items, such as family heirlooms.

Since every project is custom, you’ll usually need to visit the showroom or schedule an in-person appointment to get started.

Pros

  • Wide service range across furniture and automotive
  • Handles high-volume commercial business needs
  • Personalized family-owned attention to detail
  • Custom marine protection and boat enclosures

Cons

  • Requires showroom visit or physical assessment

Customer Reviews

Incredible work – we had the car detailed at a nearby shop, who unfortunately gouged the synthetic leather trim of our Highlander. John gave us a fair quote, showed up within two days, and made it look back to new within two hours. He even provided reasonable expectations, saying it would not likely look OEM at close inspection, but even with the tempered expectations, I really think a better cosmetic outcome isn’t possible. Cannot recommend his work high enough

Ben and Nashville Upholstery did a fantastic job on 6 chairs I had reupholstered after they had basically disintegrated! I wanted to keep them because the wood matched the table they came with. Ben picked up the chairs, took them to his shop and delivered them back to me all within two weeks! I could not have asked for better craftsmanship! I would definitely recommend Nashville Upholstery to anyone!

Restoring a treasured antique takes patience, precision, and years of hands-on experience. That’s where John Stevens Upholstery really shines.

This family-owned shop brings more than 30 years of experience to the table. They specialize in high-quality restoration work that brings worn or damaged pieces back to life.

One thing I appreciate is how flexible their services are. They work with both homeowners and businesses, handling everything from a single custom headboard to full restaurant seating layouts.

Getting started is also pretty straightforward thanks to their direct-to-customer estimate process.

Their commitment to quality stands out as well. They use top-tier fabrics designed to hold up under heavy daily use, which makes a big difference if you’re restoring furniture meant to last for years.

The trade-off is pricing transparency. Because every project is so customized, they don’t offer flat-rate pricing you can compare quickly. You’ll need to go through the quote process to get a clear budget figure.

Pros

  • Handles residential and commercial infrastructure
  • Specialized focus on delicate antique restoration
  • Extensive customization for headboards and ottomans
  • Top-tier fabric and material selection

Cons

  • Requires custom quotes for comparison shopping

Great craftsmanship! Samantha is the lead design consultant and was very helpful when deciding fabric choice, keeping our overall budget in mind! As there are so many beautiful fabrics to choose. John Stevens and his team did a wonderful job giving a new modern life to an antique! They completed the project faster than expected and delivered it to our house! I would highly recommend this business for any upholstery projects!

What a wonderful experience – folks who have superb craftmanship as well as artistic sensibilities. They actually listen to what you’re trying to accomplish aesthetically and guide you to the most suitable fabrics and design. I had two antique chairs reupholstered and repaired with absolutely beautiful results; also a pleasure to sit in now since they are more comfortable than they ever were before.

When I spoke with a colleague who used their service to restore faded waiting room chairs, she mentioned how smooth and professional the finish looked afterward.

Just note that weekend availability is limited to Saturdays, so scheduling may take some planning.

Customer Reviews

Ben did an incredible job on our Subaru drivers seat. Very reasonably priced, easy to work with and very communicative. I was visiting from out of town and he worked me in; see photos for before-after — Awesome!

John was great. He went through multiple times to repair the issue we had with a rather tricky leather repair. He stood by his work, and made sure that it was taken care of to our satisfaction. It turned out to be more of a job than we all initially anticipated, but he was incredibly professional and kept at it until it was done. Couldn’t recommend this level of service high enough.

Customer Reviews

Working with Maria and Alfonso was terrific! They were prompt, professional, and do outstanding work! We even changed our upholstery color last minute and they were quick to accommodate our change! We love our newly upholstered bench seating for our commercial restaurant!

Absolutely LOVE the work they did on my husband’s favorite chair. I wish I had the before picture to show how bad it was when I brought it in. The cats had got to it, it was old, it was dirty. It sat out in the garage for ages because I wouldn’t let him have it in the house. I brought it to them to get it redone as a surprise birthday gift and it’s probably the best gift I’ve gotten him so far. Would definitely recommend to all my friends.

Their services go beyond basic upholstery. They also handle projects like custom drapery, bedding, and upholstered accent walls. This makes it easier to coordinate multiple elements in a single space.

Customer Reviews

I had my gramma’s couch and two chairs done at Morgan’s and they are beautiful! The chairs had a patterned fabric that Kenny matched perfectly! (The before are the tan couch and green dots.) We were able to bring our own fabric, and the cost was very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

I had a couch, loveseat and 2 chairs recovered by Morgan Upholstery. They did a great job. We chose the fabric from the swatches they provided and are really happy with the result. Thanks Kenny and crew for the pleasant experience!
