We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Local Origin: I looked for products that feel tied to the local maker community, since authentic items feel a bit more special.

Product Variety: I kept an eye out for places offering a variety of fun finds, like paper goods mixed with home accessories.

Shopping Experience: Walking into a shop should feel welcoming, so I noted the general layout and how approachable the staff seemed.

Price Range: It helps to have options for different wallets, so I noted shops that carry small, budget-friendly trinkets right alongside those premium artisan goods.

Unique Style: Generic items tend to fade into the background, so I leaned toward shops with a clear aesthetic and a carefully chosen inventory.

Finding a truly memorable keepsake in this city gets tough when you’re constantly wading through generic, mass-produced souvenirs on every single corner.

That’s a major pain point for most shoppers visiting the area, so I decided to hit the local shops and actually explore the retail scene myself. I skipped the usual chains to uncover independent stores celebrating real creativity and genuine regional charm.

During my hunt, I discovered spots where you might score vintage 90s country memorabilia, build a custom artisan box, or grab a $4 pin right beside a beautiful $150 curated basket.

So, if you want to skip the cheap junk and bring home something meaningful, here’s my guide to the best gift shops in Nashville.

If you appreciate a carefully curated aesthetic, you’ll love Gift Horse. Illustrator Mackenzie Moore founded this East Nashville spot, making sure every item reflects a distinct artist-led vibe.

The shop focuses mostly on high-quality paper goods, so it’s a reliable destination for snail mail fans. You definitely won’t find mass-produced trinkets sitting on these displays.

Their shelves hold thoughtful pieces meant to celebrate everyday moments. I actually grabbed a stack of birthday cards here last month and loved the unique designs.

Plus, supporting a woman-owned independent business feels great, since shopping at this neighborhood spot keeps your dollars in the local creative economy. You can also easily grab items through their website if you can’t make the trip in person.

Just keep in mind that their highly specialized niche means they skip broader general merchandise. You’ll need to hit a different store for clothing or housewares.

Pros

  • Curated artistic inventory

Cons

  • Highly specialized niche

2. Made in TN

Website: https://shopmadeintn.com/

Address: 3820 Charlotte Avenue, Suite 127

Contact: (615) 419-7761

Schedule:

  • Mon-Sat 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Sun 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Tracking down authentic regional items is a breeze when you visit Made in TN. The shop fills its catalog exclusively with goods from local artisans and small businesses right here in the state.

You can pick up pre-made sets or build custom gift boxes tailored to your friends. They’ve set up a few different storefronts, including an inviting space inside the historic L&L Market, which gives you a great hands-on shopping experience.

You can easily arrange for in-store pickup, but their nationwide shipping makes sending local Tennessee treats across the country totally effortless. I even use their gift delivery services pretty often to send care packages to my family out of state.

Just remember that order fulfillment can sometimes take a couple of days. You might hit a processing lag of up to 48 hours, so it’s not the best spot for super urgent shopping trips.

Pros

  • Exclusive state-made inventory
  • Custom gift box options
  • Nationwide shipping availability
  • Convenient in-store pickup

Cons

  • Potential fulfillment delays
  • Fewer ready-to-ship presets

All of the Nashville favorites!
It was so easy to order this gift basket! We picked it up from the store and had it ready in our friends home when they arrived after their move from California. It was so nice to welcome them with all of the Nashville favorites!

Greatly appreciate their diligence
I broke my leg hiking in Alaska and wanted to send a thank-you gift to my rescuers who hiked up to save me overnight and in the cold. Initially I put my own address in the delivery field but thankfully the smart folks at Made in TN caught it and double checked with me for the right one before sending out! I greatly appreciate their diligence which helped make sure this meaningful gift was delivered properly.

3. The Nashville Store

Address: 433 Opry Mills Drive

Contact:

  • (615) 410-6686 (Suite 371)
  • (615) 410-6948 (Suite 530)

Schedule:

  • Sun 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Tourists generally love hitting The Nashville Store while wandering around Opry Mills. This brand focuses entirely on locally themed items, making it a great stop for souvenirs.

You’ll easily spot their brightly lit storefronts situated right near major landmarks like Dave & Buster’s. Spreading their massive inventory across two distinct retail suites means you can comfortably browse fun accessories without ever feeling cramped.

Each location even has a direct phone line if you need a quick stock check. This makes it easy to confirm availability before visiting.

The stores are also conveniently located within the busy mall, so you never have to hunt endlessly for hidden entrances.

Keep in mind that you must physically visit the store to buy any of their merchandise, since they don’t run a full online shop for remote orders. Having a divided inventory might also mean you need to pop into both suites just to see everything available.

Pros

  • Dual location accessibility
  • Dedicated local branding
  • Direct suite phone lines
  • Easy navigation landmarks

Cons

  • In-person shopping required
  • Divided inventory

Customer Reviews

Nice souvenirs & TN apparel
Cute store located inside The Opry Mills mall. Nice souvenirs & TN apparel. Pricing seemed fine. Employees friendly & helpful. Nice & clean store. No public bathroom inside the store so you have to exit the store & go to one of the general mall restrooms. I would recommend stopping at this store while shopping in the mall.

For anybody who’s traveling and looking for souvenirs
Came to the store to look for some souvenirs. Suzanne helped me out and she was absolutely wonderful. She asked me about my day and told me some more places that I should visit. She told me that she really hopes that I have a great trip while I’m here. She was very personable and helped out with anything that we needed assistance with. Absolutely recommend this place for anybody who’s traveling and looking for souvenirs and Nashville paraphernalia.

4. A Shop of Things

a-shop-of-things

Website: https://www.ashopofthings.com/

Address: 3239 Gallatin Pike

Contact: (615) 420-2448

Schedule:

  • Mon-Sat 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Sun 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM

If you love quirky, fun finds, you’ll totally adore the vibrant atmosphere inside A Shop of Things.

This female-founded store turns ordinary household items into colorful treasures, prioritizing independent makers and supporting ethical sourcing. It serves as a fantastic local alternative to massive corporate chains.

The store’s aesthetic leans into strong retro vibes alongside clever modern humor. Instead of digging through generic aisles, you might grab a quirky piece of home decor and walk out with some fun statement jewelry.

Plus, they offer plenty of budget-friendly options, making casual gift-giving an absolute breeze.

While you’ll definitely need a separate flower delivery service since they don’t sell fresh blooms for gifts, you’ll still discover plenty of clever presents right here.

Unfortunately, the storefront stays closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, which complicates early-week trips.

Also, their highly specific, loud visual style might not hit the mark for folks who prefer keeping things plain and simple.

Pros

  • Female-founded and run
  • Support for indie artists
  • Budget-friendly items
  • Vast product variety

Cons

  • Limited physical store hours
  • No fresh blooms

Website: https://www.legendsofcountrymusic.com/

Address: 2613A McGavock Pike

Contact: (615) 885-1515

Schedule: Daily 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

History buffs should definitely check out the Legends of Country Music Museum and Nashville Souvenirs. This historic spot holds a 50-year family legacy with deep ties to local music history, operating as both a retail space and an engaging museum.

You might find standard themed apparel sitting right next to actual musical instruments. Browsing the extensive selection feels like stepping back in time, and the family-run atmosphere guarantees super-friendly customer service.

They smartly prioritize stocking items from local makers rather than generic corporate goods, adding a personal touch to your visit.

The sheer volume of merchandise can feel overwhelming in the narrow aisles during peak hours, though.

Dealing with heavy downtown tourist crowds and a late morning opening schedule can sometimes frustrate eager early risers, too.

Pros

  • Massive souvenir variety
  • Support for local makers
  • Authentic family service

Cons

  • Narrow aisles during peak hours
  • Late morning opening
  • Heavy tourist crowd navigation

Customer Reviews

Cool
I appreciate the dedication the owner has put in to finding and purchasing these items over the years. That in itself deserves 5 stars. Gift shop was cool. I wish the gift shop had more Willie and waylon stuff instead of just being a general Nashville gift shop, but won’t complain.

Well worth the stop if your a 90s country fan
This is a very neat museum. It was affordable tickets were $12 each. It was neat to get to see the stars of classic country. Think 90s country. I loved that Hank Jr truck was in there. It was well worth the stop if your a 90s country fan. My daughter enjoyed it. The gift shop was very large and offered a nice selection of t shirts, magnets, purses, trinkets, ornaments, and all kind of star memorbilia. We really enjoyed it and I would definately recommend. We will revisit soon.
