The Lost Paddy Irish Pub and Restaurant feels like a true transatlantic Irish pub experience, owned by an Irish native who keeps its traditional roots front and center.
The space leans heavily into that authentic pub atmosphere, especially with live music, karaoke nights, and dart leagues regularly drawing in large crowds.
Our team stopped by last Friday night and could barely hear each other because of the karaoke.
That said, the food holds its own against the noise. The North Atlantic Cod, dipped in Harp Lager beer batter, comes out especially crisp and satisfying.
Honestly, the crunch is memorable enough to compete with everything happening around it.
You also get to enjoy a massive menu filled with classic Irish staples late into the night. Just watch out for the automatic 20% group tip if you bring six or more friends along for the fun.
Customer Reviews:
The fish and chips was excellent
We really enjoyed our visit. The food was high quality, tasted great and very good portions. It was a fun atmosphere as well… any sports fan or soccer fan would enjoy it. The fish and chips was excellent and my wife got a brunch special which was also very much enjoyed.

Hours:
- Tuesday – Thursday: 4:30 PM – 9:00 PM
- Friday-Saturday: 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM
- Sunday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Fusing traditional New England recipes with robust southern flavors is the core mission at Boston Commons. Matt Charette founded this space, drawing on his father’s gourmet expertise to ensure an authentic, sea-salt-kissed flavor profile.
You get a massive variety to choose from, including a brilliant sampler platter with multiple styles of battered fish. The golden, flaky cod loins really melt on your tongue.
Plus, the dog-friendly patio offers a breezy spot to devour your meal.
This place even serves as a major hub for dedicated Boston sports fans.
Unfortunately, the menu availability is a bit frustrating. You cannot order popular seafood items, like their sautéed mussels, before dinner service begins at four thirty.
You will also incur extra fees for any basic side substitutions, so keep that in mind before you visit.
Customer Reviews:
Great value for the money
Really great experience at an East Nashville staple! The crab cake appetizer and lobster roll were divine. Great value for the money. We also got the British fish and chips and were not disappointed! Friendly service and a great patio. The ambience was great – you could hear the live music from drifters.

Husband loved his fish and chips
I was afraid this was going to be a chain restaurant. Not at all. My lobster roll had big chunks of lobster with the bun perfectly drenched in butter. Yum! Loved the green chile grits and Brussels sprouts. Husband loved his fish and chips. Staff was friendly but not intrusive. Got to watch our St. Louis Cardinals on TV in Nashville.

3. McNamara’s Irish Pub & Restaurant

Website: http://www.mcnamarasirishpub.com/
Address: 2740 Old Lebanon Pike
Contact: (615) 885-7262; [email protected]
Hours:
- Wednesday – Thursday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Friday – Saturday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
McNamara’s Irish Pub & Restaurant was built by Sean McNamara to highlight his family’s traditional recipes, and that focus shows up strongly in the kitchen.
The beer-battered fish is one of the standout items. They deliver a crisp, shattering bite that keeps it highly rated among regulars.
The pub follows a classic Irish philosophy centered on warm hospitality and lively cultural entertainment, which gives the space a steady, welcoming energy.
You can also order North Atlantic Cod in different portion sizes, making it easy to match the meal to your appetite without feeling over- or under-ordered.
The dishes arrive piping hot and tend to be quite filling, often holding their own against more upscale Italian restaurants nearby.
The main downside is their restricted operating schedule. The pub stays completely closed on Sundays and Mondays, which makes it tough to satisfy a weekend craving.
They also enforce a strict age limit of twenty-one and over after nine in the evening.
Customer Reviews:
Fish and chips were enjoyable
Had a quick lunch here on Saturday. Their Scotch egg was absolutely top notch. Perfectly cooked yolk, great crunch but not too greasy. Fish and chips were also enjoyable. Not overly seasoned and went nicely with their tartar sauce. Their coleslaw was made of cabbage and a lot of spring onions and parsley if I’m not mistaken. A new experience for me but cut down the richness pleasantly.

This place checks all the boxes for an Irish Pub
This place checks all the boxes for an Irish Pub. The ambiance, the music, the decor, the staff, the menu 👩🍳💋. There were bands upstairs and down, both very good. We were seated upstairs and quickly approached. Service was fast and attentive. We had fish & chips and shepards pie. Both spot on. I got the Bailey’s Irish Cream cheesecake 🤤. Drinks were generous pours without being gross. Will definitely be back.

4. Aquarium Restaurant

Address: 516 Opry Mills Dr
Contact: (615) 514-3474
Hours:
- Monday – Saturday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Aquarium Restaurant offers an amazing underwater dining experience right inside a busy mall. You can eat while surrounded by massive tanks that hold over one hundred species of tropical fish.
This visual spectacle keeps kids entertained while you enjoy a hot plate of traditional beer-battered white fish.
I took my nephew here recently, and we both loved the live mermaid performances during our meal. The golden fries and creamy coleslaw paired perfectly with the flaky seafood.
Plus, earning rewards through their Select Club is a nice perk for returning guests.
However, their limited reservation policy can be a bit frustrating. They rely mostly on first-come, first-served seating, and this often leads to long wait times on busy weekends.
You might end up standing around for a while before you finally get a table.

The fish and chips was so delicious!
The fish and chips was so delicious! Abraham was a fantastic server who was always available when we needed him, but also gave us space and time to enjoy ourselves. We had a blast!

This was an experience I loved the atmosphere
This was an experience I loved the atmosphere. I had the crunchy fish and chips. And they were able to provide a different batter for the fish to accommodate a food allergy I had with the main batter they use. Plus points for being able to substitute. Service was great.

5. The Hampton Social – Nashville

Website: https://www.thehamptonsocial.com/nashville
Address: 201 1st Ave S
Contact: (615) 622-7772
Hours:
- Monday – Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Thursday – Saturday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM
The Hampton Social offers a bright and nautical oasis right here in our landlocked city. The three-level venue has a rosy signature vibe that feels incredibly airy and relaxing.
It’s a great change of pace since you can skip the dark pubs and enjoy crispy battered cod on a beautiful rooftop deck instead. The house tartar sauce adds a tangy punch to every flaky bite of fish.
Live music runs daily, which helps keep the space lively and reinforces its coastal-inspired identity.
One drawback is the venue’s size. The large, multi-level layout can feel slightly disconnected when moving between areas like the lounge and the rooftop.
Rooftop access can also be limited at times due to private events, which may affect the experience if that’s your main reason for visiting.
Customer Reviews:
Great food, vibes, and service every time
The Hampton Social has always been one of my favorite spots in Nashville, but I felt the need to write a review after having my latest server, Erin – she was absolutely fabulous + took great care of me and my girlfriends! Great food, vibes and service every time. Highly recommend the espresso martini (who doesn’t love edible gold??), crab cakes, lobster roll and fish and chips.

Everything tasted wonderfully
We started off the night with their signature margarita and bruschetta as an appetizer. Then I ordered shrimp tacos and my wife ordered fish and chips. Everything tasted wonderfully. Service was impeccable. We sat on the second floor and had a great view of the amphitheater. Will definitely recommend.
