Finding frames that actually fit your face and your budget feels frustrating. Trust me, I know the feeling. I was so tired of settling for the same mass-produced frames everyone else was wearing, so I decided to keep my eyes peeled for something better.
After spending days exploring local boutiques, getting my eyes checked, and comparing prices, I finally narrowed it down. These are the standout eyewear shops in Nashville that balance top-tier medical care with irresistible, unique style.
How much does eyewear cost in Nashville?
Securing a complete pair of glasses without insurance in Nashville typically ranges from $150 to over $600, depending heavily on the retailer and your specific lens requirements.
| Eyewear Category | Estimated Cost (Complete Pair) |
| Budget-Friendly & Value Bundles | $95 – $150 |
| Mid-Range & Independent Boutiques | $150 – $350 |
| High-End & Premium Designer Labels | $350 – $600+ |
1. SEE Eyewear Hillsboro Village

Website: https://seeeyewear.com/pages/tennessee-nashville-hillsboro-village
Address: 1818-A 21st Avenue South
Contact: (615) 463-2336
Schedule:
- Mon – Sat: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Sun: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
It’s tough tracking down unique frames when so many shops stock the same mass-produced styles. SEE Eyewear bypasses that problem by designing their own exclusive, small-batch collections.
They actually only release one or two frames in a specific color per city, giving you a truly individual look without the usual designer markups.
I recently swung by their copper-covered Hillsboro Village location to check out the vibrant frames for myself. The whole trip was super easy since they have an optometrist right on-site.
Plus, they bundle single-vision polycarbonate lenses with ultraviolet protection right into the base price of their optical frames.
But you won’t spot outside labels like Prada on their shelves, as they stick strictly to their in-house line. Also, make sure you are totally committed before paying, because their strict policy means no cancellations once a custom order starts processing.

Great eyeglass frames
Great experience. Fun, friendly and professional staff. Great eyeglass frames. Doctor was very professional and identified 2 reasons why my current prescription which I had received from another business was not working for me. I thought the prices were very reasonable. I recommend it.

2. Optique Nashville

Website: https://www.optiquenashville.com/
Address: 2416 21st Avenue South
Contact: (615) 321-4393 | [email protected]
Schedule: Mon – Fri: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Optique Nashville avoids that rushed corporate feel by providing personalized exams. They also keep their shelves stocked with luxury frames from designers like Tom Ford and Dita.
Their team handles complex conditions like Dry Eye Disease and Keratoconus, and they have actually earned national awards for their clinical work. A big chunk of their patients are other doctors, showing real trust from the local medical community.
While their whole boutique experience is great, getting in can be tough since they’re closed on weekends. Booking a slot with the founders takes a while, too, so you might want to schedule with another capable doctor on their staff to get seen faster.

Can’t say enough great things about Optique
I absolutely love Dr Michelle Sonsino and this office. Everyone is polite yet very professional. I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. 3. Look East

Website: https://www.lookeastnashville.com/
Address: 966 Main Street
Contact: (615) 928-2281 (Call or Text) | (615) 334-8771 (Fax)
Schedule:
- Mon – Thu: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Fri – Sat: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Look East skips mass-produced corporate frames and stocks independent, ethically made luxury brands like MOSCOT.
You even get Optomap Retinal Imaging included with every visit for free, which captures a panoramic, wide-angle view of your retina in a split second without needing those annoying dilating drops.
I actually got a friend to switch to this clinic recently, and she was so relieved to find out they use a gentle eye pressure check instead of that awful air puff machine.
Their independent setup means they’re out-of-network for standard vision insurance. So, you pay upfront, and then their team handles the reimbursement paperwork for you.
Booking an appointment can be a little tough, too, if you work regular hours, especially since they close early on Fridays and Saturdays and take Sundays off.

Excellent glasses selection with lots of brands and styles to choose from. Evan and Anna are super helpful for my indecisive self. 10/10 recommend!!

Knew everything about frames and honestly was great to chat with
Been to many eye clinics over the years. This is by far my favorite. Diedra was was great and got me set up quick. Dr. Brasfield is thorough and takes the time to answer questions with care. Finally, (missed his name) who helped with contacts/glasses was so passionate. Knew everything about frames and honestly was great to chat with. Love this place. Please never leave East.

The Edgehill shop itself is a gorgeous place to hang out, complete with custom stained glass and lush outdoor greenery.
Just keep in mind that this specific storefront doesn’t have an eye doctor on-site. So, you will need to bring an up-to-date prescription from an outside clinic before you can actually order your new glasses.

Great in helping me find a new pair
I bought my first pair of glasses at this Warby Parker years ago. That pair has been through a lot, so I went in today hoping to replace that pair. Unfortunately, they don’t carry that frame anymore, but Rebecca was so great in helping me find a new pair while my old one’s get repaired!

If you wear contacts, you can grab an Eyecare Club membership upfront to cover your exams for a few years and score ongoing discounts. This spot happily takes outside prescriptions and walk-ins, too, making it super easy to drop by when you are busy.
Expect slower production times here, though, as they process glasses off-site. You might end up waiting up to two weeks for your new frames to arrive.
