1. Biscuit Love Gulch

Website: http://biscuitlove.com/
Address: 316 11th Ave South
Contact: (615) 490-9584
Hours: Monday – Sunday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Southern comfort food reaches new heights when a local family commits to a Breakfast for Good mission.
At Biscuit Love Gulch, every scratch-made dish uses regionally sourced ingredients to support local farmers and non-profits. This approach delivers incredibly rich flavors in every bite.
Their famous Bonuts are an absolute revelation: fried dough with lemon mascarpone. I recently tried them on a weekday, and they instantly brightened my morning routine.
The restaurant operates with impressive efficiency, letting you order at the counter before receiving full table service.
However, because they’re so popular, you should expect weekend wait times to exceed 45 minutes. They also don’t offer call-ahead seating.
Plus, if you have specific dietary needs, keep in mind that their heavy reliance on flour means they can’t guarantee a completely gluten-free environment. Still, for fans of a hearty Southern breakfast, it remains a must-visit spot in the Gulch.

Biscuit Love absolutely lives up to the hype!
Biscuit Love absolutely lives up to the hype! The food was incredible — perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and everything you want in a Nashville brunch spot. But what really made our visit unforgettable was the service. The staff was so warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. Jaden and the rest of the crew made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in and went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience. Great food brings you in, but phenomenal service is what will keep me coming back. Highly recommend!

2. Milk & Honey Gulch

Website: http://milkandhoneynashville.com/
Address: 214 11th Avenue S
Contact: (615) 712-7466
Hours: Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Milk and Honey Gulch makes all their menu items from scratch daily. They really prioritize freshness, and you can taste it in their famous Hot Mess biscuit sandwich and freshly pressed juices.
This chic spot feels like a daytime oasis in a busy neighborhood. It offers a mix of vegan options and creative drinks like handcrafted lattes and breakfast shots.
Because it captures the city’s high-energy vibe, it always attracts a lively crowd. The atmosphere is beautiful and perfect for photos, but keep in mind that wait times can stretch past two hours.
The prices are also a bit higher since the area is popular with tourists. This lack of value means your budget won’t go as far, making the experience feel overpriced relative to the quality actually provided.

Southern hospitality at its finest
Southern hospitality at its finest 💛The staff was genuinely happy, working together like a dream team so pleasant and friendly! The food? Absolutely delicious. And while you wait, the heated patio serves pastries + drinks so the vibe never stops. Bonus: parking across the street was unbelievably cheap 🙌

Food was excellent and very fresh!
Went here during my lunch break on a Wednesday afternoon. Food was excellent and very fresh! I got Turkey and Avocado sandwich with the Sea Salt Fries and sat at the bar. Both the bartenders were excellent and very friendly and one recommended I pair the sandwich with their in-house chipotle mayo. I liked the overall feel of the restaurant too. I would recommend coming here during the week to avoid the crowds. I’ll definitely be coming back!

3. Another Broken Egg Cafe

Website: https://www.anotherbrokenegg.com/locations/nashville-tn/
Address: 208 Commerce Street
Contact: (615) 913-3923
Hours: Monday – Sunday: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Another Broken Egg Cafe focuses on chef-inspired dishes with a distinct Southern flair. You can enjoy signature items like the indulgent Crab Cake Benedict or lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes.
Since they only operate during the daytime, they have plenty of time to perfect their craft bar. This includes specialty mimosas and spiked cold brews designed specifically for a social brunch.
It’s also refreshing to see a menu that easily accommodates gluten-friendly and vegetarian diets without sacrificing taste.
However, because it stands out prominently among other popular restaurants in the city center, securing a table during holiday weekends can take quite a while despite their convenient online waitlist.
Customer Reviews:
Food was excellent
We were told we needed to eat at Another Broken Egg when we visited Nashville. Absolutely worth it!. Food was excellent. Fast service even though it was very busy. Our server, Katie, was so nice! She checked on us multiple times, giving us insight into the food choices. She also helped us with directions around the city. Would highly recommend.

This was, without a doubt, the best
Walked in and was greeted warmly and led to our table. Our server was Bryan who was absolutely fabulous! Super friendly and super informative about the menu. We order the shrimp and grits as well as broken egg sandwich. Also had spiked coffees to complete the meal. This was without a doubt the best I’ve ever tasted! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal at a good price.

4. The Pancake Pantry – Nashville

Website: http://thepancakepantry.com/
Address: 220 Molloy Street
Contact: (615) 383-9026
Hours: Monday – Sunday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Some historical food traditions are simply too delicious to ignore when you’re exploring the local scene.
The Pancake Pantry has been a local cornerstone since 1961. They use secret family recipes and special East Tennessee flours to create twenty-three different types of scratch-made pancakes.
Honestly, standing in the famous line outside has become a beloved rite of passage for anyone wanting a taste of the past. And because there are so many options, every sweet tooth is sure to leave the table satisfied.
I recently spent thirty minutes in that busy morning queue, and I can say the fluffy sweet potato pancakes were definitely worth the effort.
On the downside, finding affordable parking in this busy neighborhood can be a real struggle before you even reach the door. Also, they close in the early afternoon, so late sleepers might miss out on the fun.
Customer Reviews:
This restaurant did not disappoint
As I walked from the hotel to the restaurant, I could see a line at least 50 people deep at 9:00am on a Saturday. I became very excited about finding a great restaurant while traveling. This restaurant did not disappoint. I haven’t had a breakfast this good in a long time if not ever. The food came out hot and did not get cold through the entire meal. Amazing!

Highly recommend the food here!
Highly recommend the food here! They are fast and efficient. We waited about 20 minutes for a table at noon on a Sunday. Once we got in, it was super fast. They do have an accessible entrance but it’s a little tight and you have to go through their outside tables for a flat entrance. Otherwise there are a few stairs by the door. We tried many of the flavors and all were great. Sweet potato was my favorite.

5. The Butter Milk Ranch

Website: http://buttermilkranch.com/
Address: 2407 12th Ave S.
Contact: (615) 465-8300
Hours:
- Bakery & Counter | Tuesday – Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Dining Room | Tuesday – Sunday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
The Butter Milk Ranch stands out because of its complex baking techniques. They serve amazing 140-layer croissants and unique toasted pastry cubes rather than just standard bread.
If you’re taking a break from your favorite Italian restaurant to find wild breakfast mashups, their crab rangoon croissant will definitely surprise you.
This restaurant is both a high-end bakery and a full-service dining room. This innovative setup lets you grab a quick coffee at the counter or sit down for a relaxed meal.
However, getting a table can involve long, unpredictable waits, since they only take walk-ins. Also, you can’t order full dining room items for takeout, which can be limiting if you are in a rush.
Even so, the creative food and high quality make it a great choice for any breakfast lover.
Customer Reviews:
Everything was incredible
I’ve been wanting to check this place out for a while. I got the bacon bennie with corn gravy and a side of potatoes, my husband got the sausage Benny and my kids got the strawberry short stacks. Everything was incredible. The meats (chefs kiss!), all made in house and you can tell! 10/10 recommend. We will be back. My 6 year old daughter said its the best meal she’s ever had.

This dish was so amazing
We sat at the bar on New Year’s Day and everything was perfect. In Dry January fashion, I got the N/A Bloody Mary with Pamos THC/CBD. It was perfect. For food, I started with some biscuits, which were divine. I followed that up with The Cube Benny with Chicken Apple Sausage with Ranch Potatoes. This dish was so amazing. The croissant cubes are a masterpiece by themselves. The eggs were perfectly cooked and all of the flavors came together in perfection.
